I’m amazed you got the factory cell system to work. Mercedes wanted to retrofit the system for me after the discontinuation of AMPS in 2007, but it was too much. It’s crazy to see it working. Nice work.

great video. Narration is very good. I have E430 2002. Prewired for phone. I will look for the parts you have mentioned in the comments . can you explain when you said in the video that something has to be 'version coded'. Thank you.

Hi, my e430 is prewired for the phone. Can you hook me up on the parts that is needed to get this to work as in your vodeos. Really good videos, keep it up!

JGN , glad you liked the video. I can’t necessarily provide any parts, but I can tell you what parts you’d need. For the phone system: -A PSE unit, either the Autosense (Q6820754) or Universal (Q6820971): There is a V60 Unit (Q6820845) but I recommend the first two because they are later models and are likely to have better programming. - A fiber optic cable: Q6820671 (I got this new, MB still sells them). - Antenna Y Cable Q6820468 (You may not need this- Try setting up the system without it and only order if you think you need it). - Mercedes V60 Bluetooth adapter: B67875856 - V60 Cradle: B67875856 OR Cradle Eliminator Cable: Q6820976 The cradle/cable are the hardest and most expensive parts, I got mine from eBay. They come up every so often, but inspect the photos closely and make sure the cable is in good condition. For the VR system: -VR Control Module (A2038206826), look for ones that say they were produced in 2001 and later, they have manufacturing dates on the label. -Another Fiber optic cable (same as above) -Push-to-talk lever (I don't know the part number, I found mine on eBay by looking for Cruise Control stalk assemblies and found one that included this lever). You can install all of it yourself, but a mechanic must make the Telephone screen in the cluster available. My mechanic said the computer had it titled as the VR screen when he went to enable it. I can browse synced contacts via the center IC screen using the steering wheel (I have a couple contacts that won't sync for some reason) and recent calls (very convenient). I used this guide here for my install: mbworld.org/forums/audio-electronics/241551-1-how-guide-cell-phone-upgrades-plug-bluetooth.html I got basically all my components on eBay, piece by piece. It was plug & play once everything was connected! Hope this helps, and I hope your 430 is doing well! Mine isn't perfect (no 20 year old car is) but It's got a lot of life left in it and it worth all effort put into it.

Does the music work on Bluetooth as well?
@MichaelIZ2 жыл бұрын
No- phone only. Since this uses the factor phone interface there is no music capability.

Do you have a video of the installation? My car already has the phone installed.
@MichaelIZ2 жыл бұрын
I do not- but if you already have the phone installed, I'm not sure what you're looking to install? Moving to bluetooth is just a matter of putting the V60 bluetooth module in the phone cradle, identical to placing a phone in the cradle.

Can you send a link where i can get this v60?
@MichaelIZ3 жыл бұрын
The cradle or the Bluetooth adapter puck? In any case, I got both on EBay. You just have to search for “Mercedes V60 Cradle” and look for models with the RJ connector, and “Mercedes V60 Bluetooth adapter” will return results for the Puck.

Hi! How to connect Bluetooth ?
@MichaelIZ Жыл бұрын
Hi! The bluetooth unit is a Motorola V60 made for many brands, in this case it's Mercedes. If you google Mercedes-Benz V60 Bluetooth Adapter Manual you should get some results for the owners manual!
