2001 Mitsubishi montero shift solenoid replacement made easy

Good evening I have a technical question, I have a 2001 montero sport and I'm having transmission problems with 3rd gear, take a few seconds from 2nd gear to 3rd to change, also takes a while to start going forward (D), I've seen your video and my question is, do I need to drop the transmission to change those shift solenoid's, also the (N) blinks, I would I appreciate your answer the sooner possible, thank you for your time and you patience.

Hey I’m not sure if he’ll answer you but I have the same problem my 2001 montero sport goes into limp mode at 3000rpm and I blinks neutral AutoZone told me shift solenoid d and yes you have to drop transmission to change the solenoids

@@Darwin-v6u sounds like low transmission fluid are you checking the level while engine is at normal operating temperature

Hey man I have the same montero and my transmission over heats. And I was wondering if it could be the same thing

Negative I would check the fluid level and maybe disconnect from the radiator and make a transmission cooler instead

Can you please help me ,how many solenoids are in the transmission? My 98 montero sport isn't shifting good

I’ve actually done them on that vehicle before, hard shifts or erratic shifts would be something like solenoids, slipping or grinding would be mechanical thus needing a replacement transmission.look up your vehicle on EBay and they should sell all of them together and you will know how many there are

bro I need to know which one is the shift solenoid C on the same car model, I dont know which of the 6 is that oneI have to change it today and you would save my life

Talk to a transmission shop, they can probably sell you the correct one
