Great vid. Just a heads up on penetrating oil. Make your own. One part new or used automatic transmission fluid and one part acetone by volume. Store in metal container. Works as well or better than commercial formulas. If you have time before repair .. wire brush fasteners and spray with penetrant everyday for a week. Thanks for taking the time to make a vid.

Yup... Mine a 2001 cruiser touring edition. It makes a clunking sound and I just Got this watts link part for 33$ Yeah it goes on only one way and I wanted to make sure there was no hidden tricks . Thanks for the video... Like to see what's involved before the up Downs and crawling under.. Just did a heater core in a 2001 Mazda b2500. 6 hours but got it in and one happy camper as winter is fast approaching.

I just read online that these need to be replaced roughly every 10k miles. Cheap parts, poor design. Thanks for the vid!

Well thanks, i hope your repair is better than mine. I am glad that it helped you out. A wise man learns by others mans Mistakes. I never got the bolt out its still stripped on there but its still working great, Hopefully for the life of the car.

Where can I buy the Watts Link?
@leorael4690 Жыл бұрын
Just remove the whole assembly and buy another one their not that expensive. Save yourself any frustration .also save your old part for guide. Also if you remove spare tire you'll have more room to work. Grease all bolts prior to assemble.

When the Watts link is shot, it sounds like you're driving around with a big box of broken dishes in the back.

And some clunking too.

There is a much easier way to do this. Removing the tie rods from the car frame then take the assembly off the car then remove the tie rod ends from the link on the bench.

I cant watch this because you dont show exactly where the parts are located like is this watts link located in center of vehicle in the back?? or behind front wheel? also the noise it makes when bad what kind of noise is that? and your stuttering man.
