Me neither but I did end up ripping this out and putting a magnaflow in (see other video). I liked that WAY better and I could immediately tell how much less restrictive it was.

Are you still happy with these mufflers? Also if you don’t mind me asking what your exact setup is? Is it long tube headers no cats and 2 of the walker quiet flow mufflers? I’ve got a set on the way for my 03 Sierra 2500 with the 6.0 in it. It’s currently got no cats with knockoff flowmaster round mufflers in their place and a black widow dual in dual out muffler with 4 inch tips straight out the back. I like the sound buts it annoyingly loud inside the cab and I’m thinking these mufflers will really tame it down.

Since this video, I chopped it off and put a Magnaflow, which I like a lot better.. Also, I had the notorious LS1 lifter tick on 1 cylinder.. So we'll have to pull the heads to fix that, and as long as we're doing that, we decided on a bunch of other goodies. Right now it is in the shop having the following done: 1. LS6 Heads 2. LS7 lifters 3. High lift springs and new rocker arms with trunnion bearings and pushrods 4. "LS6 Max" Cam from SDPC 5. New power steering pump 6. New hoses 7. New cam sensor 8. New Brake booster 9. Holley EFI ECM tune 10. MSD wires What it already had: 1. SLP Long tube headers 2. Frame stiffners / cross members, etc. 3. SLP Mass air flow sensor Should be getting it this week! Very excited.. This ought to wake it up a lot w/o it being all choppy and obnoxious. I wanted "tastefully upgraded" and not ruined.

@@TexasNEV thanks for the quick response. I almost went with a magnaflow but I was nervous my truck would still be too loud in the cab and I really don’t want that. Sounds like your mods are definitely gonna wake up that ls1!

@@treethompson Your welcome.. FWIW Magnaflows aren't known for having drone in the cabin, that title goes to Flowmaster.. lol

@Armando Reyna Not a big fan of cabin drone noise at all.. That's why I like the Magnaflows.. Deep bass and no noise at cruise.

I have an HCI Long Tube 99 Camaro. Was looking at installing 2 of these (true dual setup) Is it quieter than stock?

I dunno how you'd make it fit, but I ended up pulling this off and putting a Magnaflow.. love it.

@@omargutierrez5395 Understood, but magnaflows like this (or at least the one I have) are only slightly louder than stock and it obviously doesn't affect emissions at all. The walker quietflow is an OEM replacement FYI

i've been thinking about grabbing some of these as break-in mufflers so i won't piss off my neighbors lol! glad to know they quiet things down a lot since my car has long tubes as well

I ended up getting rid of it and going w/ the Magnaflow muffler. Better sound, less restrictive and only a little louder than stock.

How was the noise while cruising?

There wasn't much.. It's basically a stock OEM replacement muffler, but if you have long tube headers / no cats, it's a way to keep things down a bit. :) I've since changed to a Magnaflow and like that better, more deep rumble and less restriction.

@@TexasNEV Thank you for your reply. I just put true dual exhaust on my 03 GMC 2500HD with the 6.0 with some XLerator mufflers…which is a knockoff Flowmaster FlowFX, and it’s wayyy too loud. Would like just a small step above stock, and I just found out the “medium” is a little too much for me with this truck. I’m thinking by making the truck dual exhaust and putting some kind of oem equivalent muffler, it will achieve that small “step-up” sound I’m looking for. Again thanks for your video!!!

@@AmericanMadeClassics You betcha, not a big fan of Fm's. Too much drone / trumpety.. I like a deep bass rumble and the Magnaflow got me where I needed to be.

I actually ended up gutting this and going w/ my personal fav: the Magnaflow muffler.. I could instantly tell the difference in power and the sound was deep / bass / rumbly w/o the annoying Flowmaster toots.
