Clint Hightower did you reset the ecu or ecm? I just swap my transmission on 2001 vw cabrio 2.0 and doesn't shift at all

No, I never got it to shift perfectly so I sold it to a guy that was a VW transmission mechanic and he fixed it for his friends daughter ...

I have a 04 Beetle replacing transmission and I’m stuck do I have to take out my motor to get the transmission out to put the new one in because if I push the transmission back to unloosen the bolts it’s not enough space for my hand to get back there to unloosen them

Didja figurr it out? Short answer is No... but you gotta support the motor from the top or bottom as the trans IS the motor mount on one side.

It's not called triple square it's called 12-point and you even said it yourself lmao

A 12-point socket is a general description of a socket that can either go over the head of a bolt or inside the head of a bolt. If you are wanting the technical name of the socket needed here then it would be called a “triple square” socket. Most mechanics probably wouldn’t identify it as a specialty tool though.

Hi Clint, i am working with a 03 golf and i need to change the top o rings as well. could you make a video showing the process of o ring change, swapping the cooler in general or give a link that shows how to do it. i've been all over the net searching for this process but i cant find it. im sure it is an easy process but i would like instruction so i can do it right the 1st time. thanks

The process is straight forward, just remove the two bolts on top, detach the hoses and replace.
