I mean 600Nm most certainly help, I don’t care what people say about how “torque doesn’t matter” and horsepower is the most important thing. Just NO, both are “equally” as important even though people seem to think that the only thing that matters is horsepower. 600Nm in that thing means that it must “pull” “like a train”.

@@klaspeppar5619 Exactly, our old Diesel Fiat Scudo had 100 hp. About 350 NM, good engine back then. After the rust came through and destroyed the entire bottom of the car, in the time where volkswagen was busted with their scummy emission shit, my parents bought a petrol powered car, the 2015 Opel Combo. Has about 100 hp too, but only 127 NM. Scudo weighs about 450 kg more, accelerated from 0-100 kph in about 11 seconds. Opel needs 27 seconds for it. also my dad's chevy truck has 557 NM V8 engine and it does pull like a train

1.9TDI is european LS2 engine :-D a friend of mine used to have it in Golf, car was pure hell, drove like mad rocket. Big brakes and gocart like handling. God bless Rudolf Diesel for invention of diesel engine.

friend of mine has the 150hp version on a Toledo, finally broke something (don't exactly know what, haven't asked yet) after taking it to or almost 300hp and doing reverse-into-first clutch dump burnouts + always shifting while still mashing the throttle, the thing was absolutely nuts. All of that when it already had like 200.000+ km, if not 300. Probably more around the 300 seeing how he didn't spend much buying it. What an incredible engine. Nothing like it anymore!
