So cool to see you fanboying this unique Polo :D My family owns a 6n2 1.4 tdi pd 55kw with 350k km and it was amazing to find out how durable those engines are. They are basically mk4 without one cylinder. Even the hvac compressor is from mk4. They are cheap to maintain, fuel consumption is really low, they weight less than a ton, and with proper oil servicing, they seem to never die.

Rough timestamp 4:20, the Euro headliner sagging is is especially common on late 90’s-early 00’s (late 1990’s-early 2000’s) due to the EU requiring specific compounds to be used to make the glue at the same time previously mentioned in my comment; which is why it is such a common issue to see.

In Europe these Polos are common but I have never seen a GTI example myself. This is going to be a cool little thing to drive around Canada, of course RHD for the extra cool factor.

This is a very rare car here in Australia too I've never seen one

Germany : Lets import huge german flagship cars with lots of extras and low miles from Japan. USA: Lets import some rare japanese classic sports or luxury cars with some JDM tuning from Japan. Canada: Lets import a totally reasonable small german car with sleeper optic wich is super easy to fix with cheap and common parts from Japan. Canada is so polite :D

The US having the most stringent import regulations of those three countries plays a part in that!

The lupo was classified as a city car, the up! is what VW sells now. Polo is a class above the lupo, polo is in the same class as the fiesta, yaris/vitz, and jazz/fit. The polo was not in the same class as the Corolla. This would be the mk3 facelift

There actually were early mk3 Polo GTI models but they looked much more tame then the late models, they shared interior components with Seat/VW models, same sport seats as a mk3 golf if I remember correctly. The late mk3 Polos took parts from the later gen VW's

I feel like this was some sort of delivery car at some point in time. The interior wear combined with low mileage seems indicative of many, many short trips. Cool car none the less...and good to see it coming to Canada.

Lover of the channel but I recently learned this about Canada. You should start every auction review with a moment of silence/land recognition
@darinmorgante72002 жыл бұрын
Even though everything lines up with the registration so many things point to a higher mileage except maybe the seats they are in great shape quite a interesting car though

I wonder if this is a special car for the new owner, a childhood dream perhaps? Otherwise, not sure why someone would want a car in this condition.

FIRST LOL... Great car the new owner will be very excited about this ok. 😉😉😉😁😁😁👍👍👍

It's a VW, build quality is always absent. So no surprise the interior this way.
