Your video was the first that came up when I googled 2005 MDX rear passenger window… and Thank God for you! Bought the left window regulator from Amazon, and with the help of your amazing video, I replaced the regulator all by myself (though it took me almost 2 hours compared to your 19min video!) 😂 Needless to say, I felt very accomplished and am so thankful for your wonderful step-by-step video. Super thorough, detailed, great explanations and camera angles all the way through, including the steps in putting everything back together again. You saved me hundreds of dollars! Nine years ago (I looked in our maintenance records) we paid Acura to fix the right passenger window and door lock, which cost us $481 (parts and labor). Next I need to replace the left door lock actuator… wish you had a video for that, unfortunately I’ll have to reference someone else’s video for that. But I saw your video on replacing 2006 MDX struts, which I need to do on our 2005… Thanks again! You da man, Dan!!

Thanks for the video and the very handy comments at the right times throughout the video. I spent $46 out of pocket for the motor and regulator plus about 1.5 hours on my time (including watching your video) to repair the rear, driver side window on my 2005 Acura MDX. I was quoted ~$450 by 2 places and another place recommended I do it myself with some quick tips over the phone. So saved about $400 and a day of leaving the car at the shop. Thanks, Dan!!!

Great video! Couldn’t have done it without your help! It took me a lot longer to get the duct tape residue off that the regulator install took. The zip tie to keep the long cord in place was smart. Thank you!!!

Great video - helped me get the replacement done in less than an hour. Thanks for posting this! I took a picture from the inside of the door to visualize the orange clip to know where to squeeze. It came right out. My replacement regulator had all the clips and did not have different threads on the bolts, even though it came with two pre-installed in the keyhole locations - one on the motor and one on the bracket. These bolts had blue locktite on them as well. One helpful trick - WD40 will get tape goo off of the glass easily.

thanks for the strip caulk sounds like three men. I use windex to clean out/off the felt rubber track on all sides of window, then use a product like "camp dry" or other outdoor fabric waterproofer aerosol spray on those felt gasket tracks and it gives the regulator an easier job going up and down. doing this on an old door window helps extend life of a regulator/motor. my 2 cents

instead of tape I use a few rubber door stops from walmart or hd wedged into the outside of door to keep window up, seems to work if working alone

I have a 04 MDX, i was rolling it up i heard a sound and then the rear window fell down. Youre saying most likely the plastic thing in the regulator broke, and not just slipped or moved?

dude. that method of keeping the window UP is dinosaur. the best and only way is to use SUCTION CUPS.
