The whole purpose of the video is to change out the defective regulator. How do you expect someone to roll the window down to access the 2 10mm bolts?

For those wondering how to get the bolts out in between the two holes without using the window switch to lower the window, I just manually lowered my window by hand and put tape on the window to hold the window in place so I could access the bolts. You should be able to freely move your window around to see the bolts

If ur window is stuck in the up position, I was able to use a 10 mm ratcheting combination wrench on both window clamp bolts. You can reach your hand through the access holes in the door and feel w/ ur fingers where the bolts are at the top of the regulator. Use one hand to feel for the bolt location and the other hand's fingers to guide the wrench on top of it. You can even see the fwd bolt thru a small hole. Once you get the bolt really loose, you can just unscrew it quickly with your fingers. I highly recommend having the ratcheting combo wrench for this.

Window doesnt go down with a dead motor. Here’s how I fixed mine. With my window stuck in the up position I could only push it down a couple inches. I removed the rest of the bolts to the motor and was able to push it down far enough to reach one bolt. I used a small 10mm combo wrench I was able to feel the head of the second bolt and reach it with the loop end of the combo wrench. Although I could only make 1/4 turns, once it was loose I unscrewed the rest by hand. Careful not to drop the wrench or bolt inside the door 😅 After that everything else went well.

Great video! Couldn't have asked for any clearer instructions. My son had been using duct tape to hold his window up until the part came. It took more time getting the sticky residue off than the installation. Thanks again!

Great video! Gave me the confidence to order the part and do it myself. Ours was siezed in the fully up position; we undid the bolts holding the regulator to the door anyway as well as the motor bolts. Once everything was a little freer to move, we were able to get a side-cutters in there (through the hole over the speaker) and cut the cable leading to the top so the window would drop. Just a little help in case anyone else runs into this problem.

I installed the new regulator exactly as instructed, the window will roll up & down when I press the button, but eventually it'll just stop working, I originally thought maybe the window gets caught on something when going up & down, which it was at first but once I fixed that, I was testing to see if the window worked & it did for a few seconds than it just stopped working again. I'd unplug the regulator & plug it back in & it would work again but for a few seconds...maybe a defective regulator?

car locks have been altered as well as the auto window. disconnected the battery and waited, auto window returned. door locks... not
