Very well done video! I just replaced the battery thinking it was the problem. All indicator lights and sounds come on but when turning ignition it clicks once nothing else. 02 Trailblazer LT 275,000 miles . Has been very dependable

I am not familiar with the 40 amp fuse at 1:17 so i glanced over it and said good enough. After a starter and ignition replacement with still no crank i went back to where i started and just swapped the two green fuses since they were the same... and it started. Since the clear covers just clip on, i took it off. and there it was, A blown fuse all along. Thank you for this video. I help tremendously with the workings of this system. (2004 Trailblazer)

Thank you so much for you to share your excellent description of the starting system of the Chevy Trailblazer, detailed with every step of the system. I have a question regarding this system that amazing me every time I start the engine. When you give the final "push" to the key, it is not necessary you to continue with the "push" to the key, the system hold, by himself the relay energized on until the engine starts. I believe this is because of the control module, is that correct? P.D Sorry for my english that it is not so good.

I got a 2004 Chevy trailblazer man I've done everything I possibly can to get this thing back running for my mom no crank no start just like it doesn't have ground all fuses are good brand new battery brand new ignition switch brand new mega fuse grounds are clean

The best video of any type. No ads, good diction and your pleasant voice. I wish I'd seen this before I put a starter button bypass to my starter, years ago. I'm looking for a way to use a solar car battery charger on my 03 Trailblazer, 16 Passat and my Husqvarna mower. I think that using a jumper cable from my VW to start the Trailblazer and mower might have, or may, cause VW damage. I don't know and I haven't found anything on youtube that covers charging the battery inside the vehicle. I'm also looking for a video like yours for my VW's flashing dash lights, ABS/traction, ( the wheel sensors I fixed). I'm wanting to find and replace the ABS control unit's fuses/relays before taking it to VW. (HINT) $THANKS?

I have a question So my trailblazer had minor issues before ..it had check engine on as well and just yesterday it gave out in the middle of the st so I swapped the battery/alternator & ignition switch I assumed it was time for maintenance its been 5 years. So the check engine went away and cranked up immediately so I put everything in place cleaned up cranked it one last time it gave no response no power no nothing and the check engine light came on I'm pretty lost i replaced the fuses you explained I have no idea now ..would appreciate your input if possible thanks in advance.

Quick question I have a 07 Chevy trailblazer and we removed the ign a fuse to check it and when we put it back and started the truck we started to hear a popping sound behind the glove box I dont know how to fix it please help

Thanks for all the info! I made sure I had 12v to the ignition switch, and then back to the fuse on the fuse block. All voltages were present. I then tried to jump the relay for the starter, and the car ran; and has started working since. I had tried tapping on the relay, etc... and nothing changed. But jumping the relay, it seems to be working every time now? Strange!

Was actually wondering if something like this was the issue for my girls TB not starting for a brief moment the other day. She was at the atm and all of the dash lights came on and non of the electeonics worked. Her car wouldnt start and onced I jumped it, it worked perfectly fine and has since. Had the alternator and battery checked and everything was good. Only code for check engine light was a bank 1 02 sensor. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

OK I have a pretty dumb question I just picked up a 2002 trailblazer the guy said he replaced ignition but I have a new start no crank but when I jump the starter relay it did crank I don’t have any test light or a meter what could the problem be

Good morning I enjoyed your video I love the way that you are detailed and explained everything. The situation I am having with my 2007 Chevy Trailblazer straight 6. I'm getting a low engine pressure light, and my car goes into Limp mode. Ill turn it off and wait and the car its self will go out of limp mode and I can drive it just fine. QUESTION!!!!! My 2005 trailblazer 4.2ltr will crank but won't start, it left us stranded I tried to reset it by disconnecting the battery so after towed home no codes on scanner , so I put new crankshaft position sensor new knock sensor both changed then I changed camshaft position sensor and the vvt actuator, the last code I saw a week before this happened said upstream 02 sensor so I changed that I even change the intake air temp sensor but she still wont start it will crank but wont start up , any advice ? i think its not getting fuel

Is there anyway to get the engine to turn over but not start i tryied pulling a few fuses i thought would do it and it wont crank at all with those fuses pulled i want to spin the engine over at crank speed see if the new belt is on correctky before i fire it and it gets destroyed because its not on there right

First thing that I do and what every would be mechanic should is clean up the ground from the battery to the body. Open the hood, take off and clean that main ground and every other ground that you can see or reach. Clean all the grounds, reconnect them, start diagnosis.

So I'm getting power to yellow wire on ignition when I turn key to start. But can't get it to crank unless I pull that relay and cross it and then it will turn over but not start. Also when I turn the key to start something in the fuse box under back seat is ckicking.. pretty sure it's RAP relay cus if I pull it out it doesnt click back there. I traded places witha different one and did same thing. Anybody got any ideas

Great video, I am having the same issue on this coment , I check and all powers are good except no ground on pin 85 of the relay at all. can that be a pass lock or security issues, this has me stop, your help will be greatly apresiated if you may know the problem, this is happening on two of my trail blazer same issue on both , thanks in advance if you can help

Have tested and negative on solenoid is grounded but no power to the rest of pins to solenoid.

My trailblazer only crank when I jump start the battery but the battery and the alternator is OK I just change the switch and now the key turns but no crank at all I got light on the dashboard with no code at all then it will turn off after is iddle for 1o minutes and the only light that stay on is the battery light even with out the key it will be nice is you can share more solution I foll9w all your fuses and they all ok

Nice video, but I cant not figure my 08' issue, it's a no crank no start, it was wrecked, so while I was fixing it, it did run, but I let it set for about a month, hoped in it, hit the key and nothing, battery is charged, switched out ignition switch , still nothing, cleaned connections every where possible I could see, none of the guages work, checked all fuses, I dont hear the fuel pump kick on, windows work, radio works unless you attempt to start it, cuts out till you let up, all lights work, no dimming while key is forward, starter cranks if you cross relay connection 30 to 87, I'm very stumped, no security light on at all.

@@dg7848 I did figure it out actually. Turns out there was a short somewhere in or behind the instrument cluster. I unplugged the instrument cluster and plugged it back up and never had a problem again. Worth a shot if you are having the same issue!
