2002 Chrysler Concorde fuel leak fix

Just in case anyone wonders how to fix this. Remove the small nylon fuel line that goes from the quick connect to the metal line. An easy way to do it is to cut the line at the metal line and then with a cutter remove the rest. Remove the quick connect from the nylon fuel line without damaging it. But a foot of rubber fuel hose suitable for fuel injection. Connect the hose to the quick connect and use a clamp so secure it, trim it to the right size and connect it to the metal fuel line and clamp it. Zero leaks. This happens because, with the years, heat and gas, the nylon becomes hard and brittle, eventually, a crack develops. Because the nylon part is bent, it's impossible to find a replacement, moreover, it requires special tools for the fittings. The rubber fuel hose works great.

One of there vendors made bad fuel lines . Went to the junk yard only use lines made late 2000 and up no more leaks on a 1999 concorde . Thanks for the video .

I have the SAME leak on my 02 300m. Spraying on the exact same spot. I smelled fuel through the vents and stopped driving, had it towed home, very likely saved the car. Really appreciate your video, it will be helpful in my repair.

great video to see what we are getting into...however gas leaking onto converter will evaporate and not ignite or all leaks would burn too easily..a spark is a different story and vapor build up

Thank you I'm getting error code po442 a small leak detection I was searching for a fuel filler hose replacement and came across your video. I have the exact same car but I do not smell gas. The fuel filler hose maybe the issue but I cannot find one anywhere I don't need the whole neck. You wouldn't happen to know the size I need do you? But I will definitely keep my eye out for this issue.

i just took myne apart and i have this same issue .do you have to replace the entire line to the tank ? or is there a easier fix ?
