Had 40s on my 5.3 half ton. They came off the Y pipe to 90 degrees on each side. 2 inch pipe, 2 1/2 inch tips. Sounded amazing with a low rumble quiet idle. Won’t do them again though because I live up north with snow and salt. They fall apart in 7 years.

I think I saw you over at Hayes on Saturday(5/12) with a couple other vics. I wanted to pull in(I've only got a j-mod and rear cat delete with duals so far) but I was in a bit of a rush and it looked like you were wrapping up anyway. If you see a white Grand Marquis with duals and a few spoke missing from the grille that's me. Keep it between the ditches, man. Nice car.

Oh I bet your neighbors just love you! Do you have to pass an emissions test wherever it is you live? I just bought a '01 p71 and want to some exhaust work, but Oregon makes you do emission on all cars '75 and newer and on all '95 and newer they plug into your computer. I would love to find a way around that.

Damn Oregon sounds shitty lol in Illinois they just plug your car in I got a 03 vic p71 that I put a brand new motor in, resonator deletes cat deletes and straight pipe laid all out, k&n cold air, bbk 73mm throttle body, I'm doing cams next but these cars are awsome to work on because (well I had to do 02 deletes for the exhaust) it never set off a check engine light for any of my aftermarket parts its nice

Yes, it will. I had mil-eliminators on this car to trick the sensors into thinking it had a positive reading.

Henry Conklin that was actually primer lol I patch a small piece of rust and closed off all the antenna holes. At the time it was my only car so I couldn’t find the time to actually paint it. I threw primer on it all and went about my business lol

The previous owner of my vic went kinda crazy with white spray paint to combat the peeling paint, but he didn't do a good job masking and a lot of the trim has overspray. Yes it did. Look up "o2 mil eliminators". They plug into the harness where your O2 sensors are and they trick the computer to think everything is fine

You need a romeo engine which is the 4.6 liter mustang engine and FLOWMASTER 40s.

Noah Navin yeah, there was a bit of loss. But that's nothing a tune couldn't fix. I have a newer 05 LX Sport now that has full headers, x pipe, and Flowmasters and the tune woke it up like no other.

The two rear cats were removed, the front two were gutted, and replaced the factory mufflers with Flowmaster 40s

+Patrick Duniphin it was all new piping, but same set up as stock for the most part. Yes, there was an error code so I had to buy mil eliminators to get rid of the code. Do a quick google search, they just plug into your o2 sensor and it basically tricks the car into thinking it's getting a good reading

Crown Vics with "NO CATS" + "FLOWS"; Best sound you can get out of these cars, hands down!!! Everything else it just to fuckin quiet... I had a 00 Police Interceptor with 40 Series Flows with Front Cats Gutted & Rear Cats deleted with no Crossover, and it had an EXTREMELY DEEP SOUND, just like this car, maybe a tad bit louder. Have you though about doing Headers???
