WHey pal, you made a point about the tab pointing up and the other camshaft not having one. Now what you refer as a tab is actually the camshaft trigger for the cam sensor. This is actually one of the most important points of this excercise. It is possible to fit this camshaft 180 degrees out and everything still fit. Beta shored you will bend all the exhaust valves.

This only takes the slack out of one side of the chain. Your not supposed to tighten the front holding tool until after you put in the tensioner tool. Install and tighten the rear tool, this holds the cam in place. Install the front tool to the head, but leave the top 2 bolts loose. this allows the sprocket to move freely of the cam. Install the tensioner tool. With the sprocket able to move, this will remove the slack on both sides of the chain. Tighten the front holding tool and torque down the sprocket bolt. Great video though, I especially liked the jackshaft holding tool. Even the ford dealer I worked at didn't have the recommended tool.

do you have to remove the engine to do all this work? would it be possible to just to remove the transmission to do the work ?

on the right side, passenger side there is not enough room to get in there to get to the jack shaft cover and to get the torque needed, as for my ranger im speaking of.
