Most would agree. Amazing what they do these days, but it felt like a collective effort in the 90s and 00s. Even watching on tv you felt like you were apart of the action/drama. Good times watching from the beginning. Glad you like the old clips 🙌

@@bradenhallocksfmxarchives4985 oh true, yeah i have to get all that footage out. i have about 5,000 minidv tapes to upload. just going into vhs first lol. been looking for all scotty cranmers bmx runs for him, and i just found the last gravity games, 2005, on the OLN network, not sure if you have that one or not but not many people seen that event, it was held at woodward camp pa. going to try to upload that soon. cant wait to see what you upload, i remember every one of these events watching them live!

This tells a completely different story than what I originally thought, wtf.. so confused? I thought Metzger landed the first one in competition?

Travis landed the first backflip in a comp. Metz landed the 1st one off a ramp and first one in x games competition. Jose yanez landed the first one ever on a dirt bike (cr 80) in 1991. Bob Kohl landed a few on a cr 80 about 1993. Reckless Rex did them into pools of water back in the 1970s. Carey hart attempted the first one in a competition (crashed) and Caleb wyatt landed the first one ever on a full size dirt bike in April of 2002 just a couple months before this event. It’s been quite the task keeping all of these straight but that’s basically the history.
