I bought a 02 FLSTC in 2019 it was the first twin cam I owned. It has a CV carburetor that I like. I have a 01 Road King with fuel injection that once I got to look it over give me a carburetor any day. I am sorry I bough these twin cams I am going to trade this 01 FLHRCI for an Evo once I am done rebuilding it. I got a 1972 FLH police special that is almost factory original to include a buddy seat and I love it it runs great and is easy to work on.

Really enjoying your test ride videos. The camera angle is just like being on the bike and you've mastered the most difficult bit of onboard videos, the sound. No annoying wind noise and you can hear the motor. How about a quick video of your setup, if it's not a trade secret? :)

+Sean Kerr Cool. Trust me not to look properly beforehand. Cheers,

Definitely going to give you a shout when I'm ready for another bike, got a 06 V-Star 1100 Silverado with 4,300 miles. Bought it new. Would love to trade it one day for something a little bigger.

i now have my 02 heritage home and i see the left filler cap is actually just a fuel gauge that looks like the old style two vent fatbob tanks from the past.

i just bought a 2002 heritage. when you fill up the gas tank and bike on side stand should the lower half or left vent be filled first or right side so fuel doesn't spill out. i'm old and forgetful. steve
@davewolff84764 жыл бұрын
You only fill it from one side,witch is the right side.
@steveperry13444 жыл бұрын
@@davewolff8476 ok, at the time i must of been thinking of my old bike which had 2 caps. on this bike the other cap is just a fuel gauge that looks like a cap, thnx.

I have that exact bike, except mine has one hundred, twenty one thousand miles. She is still beautiful, runs and rides great. If you keep them serviced, clean and keep the abuse to a minimum. They will last as long as you can ride.

+Sean Kerr So the Heritage Softtail could be the size of a V Star 1100 maybe?
@IJustLetOneGo8 жыл бұрын
+Sean Kerr That a 1340cc? I'm asking the questions because my Victory is a big bike and my back is not the strongest so that Victory is up for sale right now. More then likely I might return back to a V Star. But when money comes in, I might have to look at some Heritage Softtails. This Victory is awesome though. It's just big and heavy.

Did you sell this bike yet?
@IJustLetOneGo8 жыл бұрын
+Sean Kerr I went to Battle Creek Harley today and seen a 2004 Heritage Softail Classic. That is the bike I will need to move to. You will more then likely sell this first but this money coming is anytime to the middle of July. Once it does, I will be looking for a Heritage Softail in this year range and price range. Will let you know as soon as the money gets here.
@IJustLetOneGo8 жыл бұрын
+Sean Kerr You would not believe Battle Creek Harley's prices. 2003 Heritage Softail with 70k miles for $7,999. Your prices like you say in your videos kill everyone else.

The reason you feel less cramped as you said on that softail is because the softails in 2002 were LONGER than any other Harley. The wheelbase is 66.7 (2 inches longer than the road king or fat boy or ultra and its length is 95 inches long. And even though the softail is lighter its heavier to lift off of its side stand because of its longer geometrics and center of gravity.

I ourchased a 2002 softail 1450 last June from San Jacinto HD and sat in several fat boys and road kings and the softail was longer and even has a taller instrument panel height. I cant understand why softails are in the tour category, because they are actually cruisers same as your road king or even ultra and the frame is as large on the softail. You take the saddle bags off of these cruisers and youll find they are actually smaller than the softail. The softail heritage you rode on the video is the tallest and longest and widest of all the Harleys. Its the cosmetics that create the illusion that the other bikes are larger. Its all about sales marketing to charge people more money for the same thing. Back in 2002 when they sold that Harley you rode in the video, the others also had the 5 speed and the highway gear ration was SAME menaing cruiser class or touring class was marketers lies only so a person would pay 22k for a road king or ultra instead of 14k for the softail. And the softail LOL wen you install the saddle bags and décor are not only the same as the ultra but are taller and longer
