Great video thanks for sharing. I too prefer to fix old stuff instead of buying new toys. 2000 CR250 tearing up the trails in the management area in Arkansas

That is pretty cool, I would love to see what the trails are like up there, seen a lot of videos about Arkansas but never have had the chance to ride there. Thanks a lot for the comment and for watching, Hopefully you get a chance to see our other content, a few videos on 2001 CR250, almost the same as your 2000

I guess after you got it apart you saw that the caliper holder bracket didn’t need to come off. Changing brake pads is normally a very quick job. Just the lower pad pin plug and pin that you took off then the pads will slip out right out the bottom, and the caliper pivots back some as well. Same with the back, just the one pin needs to come out.

You are 100% correct, you don't need to remove the whole caliper and the mount to install new pads. In this situation with the bikes I get that are usually neglected for 20 years, we remove everything to help with cleaning the build up of grime and sludge. This also allows me the opportunity to see all the ware on the caliper. When I film the rebuild of the rear tire install I usually install the tire, chain, sprocket, rear breaks, all at the same time and then separate it later in editing to make it easier for a person to find the info they are looking for. they might not need the chain and sprocket part of the video. Instead only need to see how the rear brake is assembled for example. Thanks a lot for the comment and for watching the video. I will actually make a video next time i need to just change the pads on one of my personal bikes to show exactly what you mentioned, not having to remove everything. sometimes its hard to figure out what to show and not show when it comes to filming ( trying to keep the video interesting and not "stall out" or keep the "flow going" I appreciate the feed back and look forward to more of you're input and any other viewer's. Thanks again.
