I have a 2003 Grand Chero, Laredo also with the 4.0 but 2 wheel drive with over 221,000 miles, I've had it for over 3 months and it ran good up unroll I changed the spark plugs. The old plugs were almost as bad as those on your video but the jeep ran fine with them, no issues. But once I put the new ones on after about 2 days it started misfiring and to this day about a month later it is still misfiring. Was I supposed to change the coil pack too? Along with the spark plugs? Because it was running fine up until the spark plug change.
@OnlineAutoRepairVideos4 жыл бұрын
If it ran fine for a month AFTER you replaced the plugs, then it might just be you had the coil go bad. Keep us updated!

@@OnlineAutoRepairVideos the jeep was running good up UNTIL I changed the plugs, I plugged a code reader into it and I would get codes P300 - P0301,P0306 & P1281 so I then would switch plug 1 over to like plug 2 just to see if it might be that plugs individual solenoid pack and the P0301 would disappear and vise versa with P0306 but a day or two later those same codes would return again. I just recently replace the PCM because the jeep finally stopped running completely. It kept dieing out on me when I would come to a stop. It would not start at all anymore UNTIL I replaced the PCM then it started up right away. Also I'm having an issue with my gas gage, it was working fine until the issues started occurring. I'll put in $20 in gas and my overhead info display would tell me that I would have around 75-85 miles until my tank needs to be refilled, but now with the same amount of gas it will give me 75-85 miles till refill then I'll travel many 2 miles and it will display that I now only have 32 miles left and keep going down two to three times as much the further I drive, its come to the point that I can no longer trust my Jeep. I love my Jeep & I don't want to have to get rid of it. I haven't had a vehicle in over 12 years and I finally get one the I like for a dam good price $1,800 with no dents a nice original paint job and very very clean interior I no longer have the means to pay for anymore repairs or buy another car. I want to so badly keep my Cherokee. I just played $1,600 for a 3,000 watt stereo system - had a wheel alignment I baby this Jeep a lot. Please give me some kind of clue on what to do. Thank you so very much for your quick response to my questions. Sincerely Angel Rosalez.

@@thrillseekermusic2317 When you replaced the plugs, did they have a gas smell on them? Start off by addressing the coolant sensor code FIRST, because if that sensor goes bad, the computer will throw so much gas into the cylinders, it will cause a bad misfire. Make sure it it plugged up, the connector is clean, and if so REPLACE IT,

Thanks for the video.. I've got 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7 V8.. Trying to trouble shoot a P0307 - Cylinder 7 Misfire... The History- Radiator seam cracked, leaked/ sprayed anti Freeze.. On way home (10min away) car gets extremely hot 220+in Texas heat.. Pulled over let it cool. Car starts to misfire, end up with P0207 Injector Circuit and P0307 . Replaced 4 spark plugs on that side and swapped fuel injector 1 and 7 to see if problem moves. Added anitfreez and radiator sealant. Unplugged battery for a while to reset code. Drove it today about 4-5miles, Jeep overheats again and now only code P0307 and obvious misfire. Tomorrow swap spark coil with 1 and 7.

I have a misfire on 6 3 cylinder and very hard to start in the takes a few seconds to start up I have a drive sync by T-Mobile no engine light on but when I come to a light it shakes so much anyone would ideas is the coil pack and not starting up the same thing disconnected the battery to clear the code
@OnlineAutoRepairVideos3 жыл бұрын
That sync will NOT tell you of pending codes. Those must be checked, and you must be able to read data in order to diagnose the issue correctly

Were her check engine lights on or can you check for codes with out the CEL lights on? Guy at autozone said checking the codes without CEL would be pointless 🤷🏽♀️
@OnlineAutoRepairVideos6 жыл бұрын
No, it's not. You can always check under "Pending Codes", which is something where the computer picks up a possible problem, but it may not be enough to turn on the check engine light, just yet.

You should invest in an inexpensive code reader. There are many out there for as little as $19, and what's great about it is once you get the code, you can always search KZbin on how to repair it. hope this helps!

It might be time for a transmission filter change. Also, before you do that, check the fluid level and the color of the fluid. If it looks like motor oil, you may have a problem within the transmission.
