do you run premium in it? that's probably why it was so slow. was it uphill at all?

It was a loaner car from an automotive shop. I highly doubt people put premium in it, I don't think I did either. Regardless it has a lot of miles and seemed somewhat tired.

10 seconds to 60? Something is wrong with that car, or you drive like a grandma. My 2002 does that run in barely over 7 seconds.

I had the pedal to the floor. The engine is probably getting tired as it's at 200k miles. I'm not sure of it's history either, it's not even my car.

I thought it was a 4.6 Triton

It's Ford's 4.6L 32-valve modular that they used in many vehicles. Not sure why this Continental had the Intech logo on the engine cover...maybe due to it making 275hp over the Crown Victoria/Grand Marquis only making 250hp and the Lincoln brand wanted to differentiate between them. I thought the Triton is a 5.4L?
