2002 SEADOO SPORTSTER LE Dess key programming

This was an unfortunate event where I had lost a customers key and had to program a new one. I figured I would do a quick how to for any DIY or independent shops out there that need a little help.

I am in Australia and I have a 1999 SEADOO Challenger, is the only way to communicate with the ECU by the DESS Post?, I need to make a new DESS Key and no dealers in Aus have any idea about how to do, the tech support here is shocking

Will this work on the atv with the some keys. I get it second hand with only. One key and last that key.

What software are you using

I use the sbt scanner for all brands

@@JetEnvy_TV does their scanner come with the software.

It comes with everything you need to diagnose. The catch is that they charge you a yearly licensing fee so read the description. Pay attention to the date that you get the software, if your towards the end of their calendar year they will charge you again for the license in only a few short months. Recomended that you wait till the beginning of the cycle to purchase in order to have it for a full year

This Seadoo DESS is fairly Dumb, slap and Apple AirTag on your boat and retro fit the ski with a CDI and be done with it.
