Kid didn't have plug in, started taking on water, hit hot engine. Guy thought at first it was overheating, then told him to get extinguisher, in case it was on fire. Suddenly it became obvious it was going down. Can't blame the other guy, he was just trying to be friendly and helpful. Not much he could've done different.

Lucky for the dad and kid that this guy is a marine mechanic testing out a customers ski he just finished repairing. He has a shop on the lake. He also has a buddy that’ll retrieve the ski. If they get it out and over to his shop fast enough he can minimize the damage. If dad’s got cash app , he can call his buddy right now.
