I used to own a 2000 Mercedes-Benz E320 CDI Elegance estate. It had a lovely beige interior and it was in a dark green. It was a 7 seater it had 177,000 miles and i searched its MOT history on Vehicle Smart and it has 191,000 miles

The estates are what I would go for :) Green on cream is a great choice. I would love an E55, or a V8/V6 Variant with AMG extras as I like a firmer ride :) I need to speak to my brother in law to film his G500 and GLs, if you like Mercs :)

This is my favorite generation of the E class! I have been driven in this car as a passenger on the back seat, it's like sailing on a luxury yacht, so smooth and soft, and in the one I was you don't feel the bumps and potholes on the road (idk if all are like this, it had adaptive suspension), but needless to say this car is a true luxurious limo

I own one in Cyprus and it never let me down. Rust is an issue as are the electrics. Lost a couple of speakers and the cd changer. The kompresor belt pulley went and cost me about a 100 euros to replace. Wallows badly on bumby bits of the highway. Really safe and solid. Just a shame about the rust. Easy hit 130mph and had it up to 140mph a couple of times and no sense it couldn't handle it. Not many cops in Cyprus and if you know the places they always hide you can let loose

Hello What is the meaning of the battery sign that appears in the meter Mercedes-Benz E200 in 2002
@mattsbeamer2 жыл бұрын
Hello, do you mean the battery on the main screen between the dials? I know there is a picture there, of a battery, and above it, it may say battery/ alternator, over voltage or under voltage. One problem could mean there is a bad belt, or maybe the alternator is bad. If the belt is bad, be careful because it could also work the water pump, which cools the engine down. Ill try and find a link to the user manual :)
Yes i own one in silver, It is called "Rommel" yes it is built like a Luxury Tank. Mine is the French 270 deisel version. 5 cylinder turbo diesel. It is luxury for 5 people, Still completely reliable with 360 000 km on the clock. Will do 140 MPH but takes a time to get there with 170 BHP.. You do not want to do a fast corner in the wet with all that weight, it will go sideways. BUT it is so economical, to do distance at legal speeds, 5 litres per 100km amazing. OK your example was a Compressor. My girlfrriend has a Compressor in her CLK. I have driven it, yes it is sporty, but harsh at revs. If you want the most luxury, reliable, economic motor in the world. The E can do it, listezn to the Taxis

I know somestudents with super cars and others with Ladas, so I can't judge. If you are good with your hands and can do the maintenance yourself, then this could be a great car, as the main killer of cars is people not keeping up with the maintenance. Also with Mercs of this age thou, be careful of rust.

TrafficDE it’s quite sad really. They looked nice when new, but the rust really dates them. When I was in the Uk, I saw a really rusty clk, the boot lock was held in by a single bit of rust. But moving to russia, their rust is in a different league. Half the car is missing lol.

@@mattsbeamer It's all the salt that destroyes cars like that. I live in germany and It's just the same. Even my 2005 Vectra starts to rust already. My brothers mercedes got derusted, sealed up and repainted by a professinal, it looks great now. I'll probably get me a clk 430 next year as a hobby, I love the V8, but it's hard to find one with low milage and good shape. Or they have a LPG System plumbed in.

@@theavenger3363 That is very true. MY father used to take his SL to the dealer, because when it was new, the roof was too complex for the specialist. He takes his x6 to the specialists, as they know more than the dealer. I sometimes take my BMW 1 series to the dealer, if there is a good deal, for e.g. I paid 40 for a oil service. cheers :)
