Did u use 2 ohm speakers? Cause I tried mine and a normal 4 ohm u get half the volume. The diagrams aren't faulty the pin layout is just inverted for some reason same as on my 2012.

Informative video...If it's a Functional Amplifier (Increases volume) you're Bypassing, Isn't the "Bypass" going to Reduce the audio signal Volume to the Speakers.....How & Why can you Hear anything Loud enough Without the factory Amplifier ??
@ValleyMobileAutomotive

It all depends on the stereo you are installing. Some decks will slightly amplify the lines coming out. If that's the case then you'll be getting double amplified and the sound quality will suffer. If you are uncertain then I recommend trying the stereo first. If it sounds good then leave the amp but if it doesn't then you'll know what to do 👍

Hi. Yeah I would like to know why you had to bypass the amp to make the speakers work? Because awhile back I changed my door speakers in my 06 hyundai sante fe and i didn't do none of what u did. And yes mines do have the factory amp under the seat like yours did
@ValleyMobileAutomotive

It's recommended to bypass the amp when going from component speakers to three way. The reason is because the amp is splitting the frequency between three different component speakers high, mid and low using three different sets of wires (one set for each speaker). But a three way speaker takes audio with one set of wires and splits it out on it's own three speakers attached together. If you use the factory amp for a three way speaker you won't be utilizing all three ranges. So your highs or mids may not be as crisp. That's my understanding anyway

After the bypass could I just take the amp out of the vehicle? Or would I need to plug it back in like you did in the video.
@ValleyMobileAutomotive
@ValleyMobileAutomotive 2 жыл бұрын
If you replaced and bypassed all the speakers you can remove the amp. If you only did the front like this video then you need to keep the amp for the other speakers.

I'm getting ready to do this, this Saturday and I need to know why you used the wires to the top speaker instead of the wires coming from the bottom part of the speaker? I hope you can get back to me so I can do this right. Just trying to understand why you chose those particular wires. Please help.

@ValleyMobileAutomotive
@ValleyMobileAutomotive 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Manny. It's hard to tell without knowing your set up. There are so many variables in radio, speaker and amp quality. Sometimes the amp itself is the issue, not being adjusted right. It's also possible the radio needs to be upgraded to match the amp technology. Speakers have ohm ratings, if the ohm rating is higher than the factory speakers they will sound quieter at the same volume level. If you want to replace the radio I have a video on that as well. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Hope you get it worked out, we need our tunes while driving.

I'm thinking of making something similar to the oem speaker/tweeter they have with after market speakers would I need to do the bypass or could I just rob the original harness from the original speaker and connect it to my new speaker/tweeter
@ValleyMobileAutomotive
@ValleyMobileAutomotive 2 жыл бұрын
The factory set up has 3 different speakers in one door. The low, mid and tweet are all separate. So the amp is designed to split out separate signals for each speaker. If you get a two way or three way speaker as a replacement then the amp set up no longer works and needs to be bypassed. If you replace the tweet by itself or the low by itself (component speakers) then you may not need to bypass the amp.

@@ValleyMobileAutomotive ok then so my next question is the 6.5 inch the mid range and the 1 inch is the low range or am I getting them mixed up my tweeter is fine I would like to replace those 2
@ValleyMobileAutomotive
@ValleyMobileAutomotive 2 жыл бұрын
@@randomstuff159 typically the bigger diameter the speaker the lower the frequency it can produce. So the biggest one will be your low/woofer and the smaller one is your mid. The tweet is obvious, it's the tiny speaker in the triangle trim by the window.

Hi. So I've tried this bypassing but on my 2005 all I got was static from the rear speakers and no sound from any of the front speakers.ive swapped the wires around with each other in every combination but it did not work. I've put the wires back together in their original form. Mine does have the monsoon, it has an after market head unit with 2 way speakers in front and back.

With the wires put back together how does it sound?
@aestrella87x
@aestrella87x 2 жыл бұрын
@@ValleyMobileAutomotive it sounds normal. But now that I've rewatched your video more closely, I realized my mistake. I was connecting the wrong end of the cut speaker wires. I'm going to give it another shot when I have more free time. I was really missing the low end frequency in the front speakers and the audio shop wanted to sell me a subwoofer package. But I've been messing around with the wires and when I connected the black and yellow wires to the skar tx65 speakers, they blasted the low range but I was missing the mid-range. Since I had messed up the first time with the bypass, I decided to cut the black and yellow wires so I can lead them to the back and put in another pair of skar tx 65 speakers that can play the low end in some boxes. But now maybe I won't have to. Thanks I learned a lot from your video.

what are you trying to do?
@aestrella87x
@aestrella87x Жыл бұрын
@@drunkenbass6128 I was trying the bypass so the front door speakers plays all the frequencies. A 3 way speaker should be better but to be honest, the separate speaker set up for each range did sound better. I had new speakers put in but they were 2 way but the place wires them funny so the front sounded lame. When I put in my own speakers and wired them to the midrange speaker wire, it was way better. But then I was missing bass from the "subs"? The diagram says subs. Only the skar tx65 speakers were able to play the frequencies from the low range wire but then I was missing the mid-range. I was actually going to keep the midrange speaker in the door but wire the low range to the trunk with a couple of skar speakers. I should of done that but I went with the bypass instead. I could wire everything back up again but it's a hassle. Maybe I'll get a proper subwoofer in the future. But a component speaker system sounded better. The problem with the door speaker is that they have a low range speaker with a mid-range speaker installed together using different wires and the tweeter is at the top of the door.

Why is it necessary to bypass the speaker wire/amp connection when replacing the front speakers?
@ValleyMobileAutomotive
@ValleyMobileAutomotive 8 ай бұрын
It has to do with how the amp splits the speaker frequencies between the three door speakers. You can always change your speakers out without bypassing the amp and if they sound good don't worry about it. But if they don't sound good at least you know there's a video with bypass instructions 🙂

OK the door pillars are tweeters they're high the mids are in the between the speakers the base the lower frequencies are behind that in the door so it bumps in the door then the mids are in the center of the In they do not get base they're cut off a certain frequency and then the door pillars have the tweeters so one channel has three speakers it doesn’t matter about the hose the amp is still gonna push them all if they’re all the same

I just bought a sante fe. I don't understand why you must bypass the amp. ??
@ValleyMobileAutomotive
@ValleyMobileAutomotive Жыл бұрын
The amp splits the main audio speaker feed into three separate frequencies, high, mid and low. Each output goes to its own door speaker. So the left front door has three separate speakers inside. If you are installing a three way speaker it needs the raw audio not the amps divided audio. So bypassing the amp gives your three way speakers what they need.

Not necessarily, depends on if you choose to use an aftermarket amp or not. The vehicle comes with factory three way components. I believe they are bi-amped from the factory if I remember right.

They are not the smartest tool in the stead . Do you know that you don’t even have to just connect the amp don’t people not know that the app is the center is the mid base the speaker behind it is the high all you have to do is connect that speaker to where the high is and leave the men disconnected and do the same thing on the other door and that’s it
@ValleyMobileAutomotive
@ValleyMobileAutomotive Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment. It depends on the speakers you are installing. The amp divides the audio into highs, mids and lows. It outputs each one to its own speaker. So each front door has 3 separate speakers. If you install a three-way speaker you are combining all three speakers into one. In order to have the best sound quality the amp should be bypassed. Otherwise you are dividing the sound twice, once in the amp and again in the three-way speaker.
