True , but still a lot of warning lights on the dash.Electronics will fall apart any time soon or it's just because the engine do not likes the lpg installed .

In America we only have 4.2 and W12 and 5.2 engines and leather seats. The electronics are all very tout. And the switch's and soft touch materials if only used with skin and not your nails, last a long time. all of mine are still intact. Humidity and heat also play a huge role in the buttons. Such as door locks, all 4 in my 05 are melted looking. Having a solar sunroof and using the blower option increases that and will allow moisture to enter the cabin. I've done head gaskets and all the timing in these cars, and no harder than doing the 2.7t S4 I have. Comparing this interior to a BMW or Mercedes, the 7 series has a literal crap interior for button feedback. All the buttons are plastic, and creak and bend, if its shiny, its plastic. A8 uses Aluminum for the polished switch's.

You must have the older 4.2 MPI (not FSI) correct? I was told I couldn't get LPG for my 3.2 FSI in the same car due to the FSI being direct injection. I did walnut blasting (carbon cleaning) and chiptuning for more efficient driving. After that my car drives more efficient but still a gas hog relatively speaking haha. I was happy to see 5.5-6.0L/100km consumption when driving around 50-60km/h cruise control in highest gear flat ground. Driving in stop and go traffic still gives atrocious gas mileage (especially with Dutch gas prices), but at least steady speed fuel consumption have improved a little doing these two things.

Most of these cars are owned by regular folks that in reality cannot afford these kind of cars. So they drive them for few months and sold them to another folks just like them. These cars can accumulate all kind of problems, and nobody wants to solve them.

These cars are very reliable and durable, if you cares about them and maintain them properly, but sometimes you needs to be willing open wallet very wide, as spare parts are still expensive. That is also one of reason, why most of them are in terrible shape, as previous owners decided to simple ignore all errors, and just to drive. Back in 2017 I decided to get fix completely mine (4.0TDI), it was super expensive, but since that it is serving excellently.

I remember Jeremy Clarkson was challenged to take one of these cars from London, up the M1 all the way to Edinburgh. I was actually surprised he made it back to London with virtually no fuel! Goes to show how amazing these cars are.

I remember many years ago having a loan of my old bosses A8 in 2007 I had it for 2 days it was a 2004 4.2 tdi... it had the same interior as the car in this video but the exterior was black ..I'll never forget it ..the power ..the luxury..what a car! Even to this day they are still a great looking car ...just like the car in video.. just goes to show you how clean you can keep them when you take care of them.. Really great example in this video 👍

Jak można doprowadzić samochód do takiego stanu :) Checkengine, kontrolka od zawieszenia, skrzynia (konwerter się odzywa, faluje przy jednostajnej jeździe) + skrzynia źle dobiera biegi + lockup się prawie wogóle nie załącza gdy nie powinien, jeden wielki stuk z zawieszenia co nawet na wideo "czuć" jakbym w aucie siedział. Jakieś kontrolki od świateł automatycznych itd ... czujnik kąta skrętu się pali, ABS. Słaby ten samochód. Walczysz z nim nieumiejętnie przekładając ręce na kierownicy ... Ogólnie to stara klasa premium a mam wrażenie, że zmęczyłeś się jazdą tym parchem. Zamawiać smieciarkę czy sam zadzwonisz?

no nie do końca, nikt tez nie bedzie na takie auto warte samo w sobie 30 koła tyle wydawal na serwis w ASO :P niestety te auta juz maja taka wade, ze pomimo upływu czasu, wypuszczenia nowych modeli/technologi, spadku ceny auta to dalej serwis czy czesci kosztuja podobnie co jak by to była nówka sztuka wiec no troche szkoda też pakować tyle siana w to, jeszcze jak spojrzysz, to tak na prawde jakis pseudoluksus, ok wiekszy silnik niz 2.0 tdi w a6 no i moze wiecej miejsca i skórki/drewna ale to dalej troche podpicowany drozszy szmelcvagen, bawi mnie ten "luksus" w chwili gdy masz wajchy do kierunków czy przyciski do wszystkiego kopiuj-wklej z jakichs passatów/skody itp hahaha
