What a heart-breaking list of problems with such a beautiful car, at least you seem to be getting around to sorting out the various problems, if the head gasket is faulty would the car not be chucking out white smoke/steam. Hopefully you will get this car on the road soon.

If you're not already corrected the problem the reason why your fuel pump is not operating is because the alarm system is shutting everything down from starting the car sometimes you can use the key and put it in the lock mechanism turn it and it resets the alarm from going off.

Remove the thermostat and check if the "plugs" have melted way (Bentley and Rolls thermostats are known to fail "shut", this is due to a design failure of the "all steel" thermostats as opposed to brass).
