I have removed the lower dash but was unsure how to release the glove box. Thank you so much for this video! Who said us gals are helpless when it comes to DIY auto repair :)

Dude you are a GOD among women! THANK YOU for this video my mechanic and brother were telling me I had to remove the whole dash and it was going to be expensive. I’ve been learning slowly how to do all these things myself because I want to learn. Thank you so much for this video.

How do u take the other part before u got to the hvac?

The little vacuum actuator? It's just clipped in, you push up carefully it'll pop off.

@@joebagofdonuts1453 what is that vacuum thing that goes to it for ?? it was connected to the top of the door I think I took it off and not sure how to put it back on I didn't have to remove the actuator I flushed out the heater core I have been so warm this winter , I had already flushed it last year but I saw a video to flush it the opposite way and that worked for me.. I haven't had heat in 7 years till this year..I'm so proud of myself

Did it actually fix the problem you were having?

I can't get the last screw in the back 😭😂 Edit. There is no screw in the back, only a pin for stability. I spent maybe a solid hour on that last "screw" finally got mad enough to break it. Tried to pry it up with a screw driver and it popped right off. Smh

In most older cars you can do it this way, forget about a current 2024 car. My blend door just stopped working out of nowhere sadly

10 minutes my ass. I watched a bunch of these videos. They made it look easy. "Bullcrap". it was the biggest pain in the ass i have ever worked on. I even had the flex ratchet tool. You just can't get your hand back in there to get any leverage. And everything is in the way. Putting back in was even harder took me even longer. Becuase it has to line up right. I also ripped my hands open a bunch of times. This is the worst F**king design i have ever seen. Finally got mine out almost 2 hours later and It was still working fine when i tested it. Good thing too because The new part I bought from amazon for $28 ,Didn't even work. I tested both parts to see if it would work better. Man would i have been pissed. It would have been faster to just take the whole dash out. Becuase that way if actuator isn't broken, it's likely the heater core is plugged. Or its a broken blend door. Either way. At least you can replace any other faulty part right away while dash is all apart. So now i'm doing a rad flush and try to reverse flush the core at the same time. Hopefully that works. If not that means the core is pouched. Then it will be another 4 or 5 hour job.
