hi, I have a 2007 caravan with the 2.4 engine, and I noticed that right behind the intake, there is a vacuum line open on both sides, is that normal

Hi an excellent video. My 98 2.4l oil pan is leaking needs gasket. Also some say that. The balance chain. Makes noise as it wears. Then breaks! Bill

What does it take to remove the balancer? I have to do all of the bearings in mine.

Hey hey I'm stuck at the motor mount in the front I took off all the boats but I don't see how to get it out without taking off the big boat connected to the rubber

I did this same job on the same car. Guess what you dont have to remove the motor mount. I thought I would have to also but just a tug on the support bar and it came out easy.

Yea it was one of the connecting rods. It was bent just enough for it to hit the side of the case. The one close to the transmission was bent. Maybe form heat? I replaced it and it ran for a long time before i eventually sold it.

I have the same van and engine and it runs fantastic. But it does have that little noise that bothers me tinking i a mayor problem. Its not loud but me as a mechanic i can hear it and it bothers me now have anyone figure out the couse of it and how to fix it. Thanks for the awesome video

I've heard somewhere that the chains on the balance shaft can become loose and cause metallic knocking noises inside the engine.
