2003 dodge cummins no power to fuel pump

i bought a 2nd 3rd gen truck as a project, found that it had this kit and the wire was broken, almost bought a new pump. thank you!!

I was able to fix my truck in about 10 minutes because of this video I was starting to clean the dirt off the top of the tank to check the wiring there figured I would look for a video on KZbin. This was the first one that caught my eye so I went to that plug on the driver front corner behind the wheel. Found that third green wire followed that up to the relay the power wire going to the battery from the relay, had broken off at the battery so I reconnected it. Truck runs flawless funny thing is I just got this truck and the guy had told me that it needed a new ECM because the computer wasn’t turning on the fuel pump boy do I feel lucky. I think I might even buy a lottery ticket on the way home.

Im not the one to comment on videos but you literally saved me!! Im in Mississippi and i have to deliver a car on my trailer in florida and just replaced my lift pump weeks ago and it was exactly what you had said. That wire on mine has an in line fuse and it had so much corrosion that as i touched it it fell appart! Thank you again!!!!!

Thanks for vid I am trying to fix my 96 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9l l6 12V same exact thing happened to me I’ve changed my pump still nothing, I don’t hear any noise of priming or anything all my relays are good and I tested fuses trying to trace back all the wiring and stuff I’m not a mechanic for sure but like doing diy stuff and I need to fix my truck! Any suggestions ?

Check all of your harness plugs especially the one that runs under the truck back to the fuel pump terminal. These are notorious for corrosion between the terminals. And are prone to breaking.
