2003 Ford 6.0 Removing low pressure oil pump (LPOP) part.1

Just went through this myself. Lifter failed. Needle bearings from a lifter caused low pressure oil pump to fail.

We have been trying to install the oil pump and we can’t make both gears go in we bought new ones and nothing we tried the old ones and nothing also we we doing a front cover replacement.any tips or ideas please?

It was my first time doing it, so was learning as I went based on other videos. It's a precision fit, so no wiggle room. Can try to rotate the engine with the starter jumper wire or by ratchet and see if that helps get to line up.

So lifter needle bearings went threw the low pressure oil pump? U pulling the motor out to replace camshaft and lifters? I would be. Good video

Best guess is it was something besides a cam needle bearing. If i did it would be a stage one cam, but I'm just gonna send it at this point honestly.

so bolt is 18mm but lets try a standard socket. hmmm well lets go back to 18mm wow that works

i tried using a magnet, i tried two, i tried 3. i tried a persuasion device, and i still cannot get mine to slide out. any tips on how i could get mine out?

I believe you can comment a pic. Does yours have a sleeve already installed?

@@elite_huntr47 had a thought to rotate the engine by hand or bump it over with the starter and maybe it's in bound up spot and that may help

Was it running bad what was the symptoms that made you change it

Long story short... truck quit running, I had an injector snap ring go through the lpop which feed to the hpop and took it out also, so I had to replace both.

Did you change the big front "timing cover" ? Or just the little cover that's in your video?
