2003 Ford Excursion no crank- no start diagnosis

Truck would start with key on, jumping the starter solenoid. No other apparent problems. But.. the ignition lock cylinder had some plastic debris jammed in it so it wouldn't rotate fully to the start position, there was no ground on the fuse box relay circuit & the park/neutral switch was defective... all 3 conditions were double checked and confirmed

I misspoke a few times.. the ignition lock cylinder is the thing the key goes in.. the ignition switch is the big white block that fastens to the bottom of the column. The fuse box I got from the salvage yard, which I decided I wasn't going to use due to missing circuitry, had ground continuity on starter relay pin 85 to at least 3 different common ground circuit terminals on the back. After securing a ground in the fuse box, replacing the park/neutral switch & removing the debris out of the lock cylinder and putting 5 gallons of gas in the tank, the truck started & ran just fine without any other detectable issues.
