Thank you! I used a hook tool to add a little pull inside the boot, worked perfectly!

Thanks for the tip. Prior to see your video I was having a huge problem trying to get the boots off. When I was able to remove the boot, they were coming off in pieces.

I don't often comment on KZbin, but now I must. I spent an hour of very strong vocabulary trying to get my #8 boot off. I watched your video and sceptically tried it. Boom! It's out! Thank you!!

Ive looked at all the research and manufactures service bulletins. Triton motors only blow out the replacement plugs, never the factory installed plugs. The reason? Torque! The factory plugs are installed with a torque wrench and set to spec. do the same and you'll have the same results as the factory. NO LOCK-TIGHT NEEDED!!!

I also used an air gun to shoot compressed air into the boot and break the seal. Then I was able to pull the boots off gently with needle nose pliers. If they gave me trouble I used spray silicone. I think it might be gentler on the boot rubber than WD-40. Just wanted to mention another way to do this.

Thank you so much! I have two COP's that are not wanting to be removed and I've been hesitant to "take them apart" piece by piece even though I have brand new COP's as replacements. Now if the temperature would just warm up!!!

Is it a Craftsman 43329? Couldn't make it out. Thanks for the video, btw! Should help tremendously with the back boots on my V10, especially on the left side [designed by the Marquee de Sade, I'm sure].

Get a coat hanger, curl up the end and you should be able to pull the busted boot out. I'm sure you got it by now, but for future reference. ;)

41589 is the one I used but may differ if part numbers have changed since I bought it.

I CANT EVEN GET THE STUPID COIL WIRE PLUG OFF ...CRACKED IT AND WHOEVER OWNED THIS JUNK BEFORE DID THE SAME. TO ANOTHER ONE=Come on man a fricken plug .Obviously a poor design if the previous mechanic had to break it to get it off ,what a joke. Just push the tab and it slides right off ,no,no it doesn't,
