I went through the course for driving these at Camp Pendleton back in '89. There wasn't much that they couldn't do-straight up gravel mountains, through water that was over the hood etc. Then I was given charge of our platoons hmmwv, I was proud of it like it was my own. I used to go to motor-t to wash it and wipe it down with brake fluid. 😂

Dimensionally it's not all that large. It's only 1/4" wider than a ford raptor and its shorter overall than a Toyota Camry. When you see one in person they definitely have a "presence" but unless it's on 40's it doesn't really seem huge. Of course I see one everyday so I might be used to it.

This is a perfect vehicle to apply the social distancing rule. There is so much space in that thing. But it’s hard to keep a social distance with other cars tho.
