Young Man Sounds like Fez from that 70's Show. Rare for someone to show you from start to finish how to perform this Service. Keep in mind if you've never had a Jag before there's no way with out training one could figure this out. Inmar took the time to show us step by step how simple this was if someone takes the time patiently to show us how. At $ 95.00 an hour at the Jaguar Shop I think I can tackle installing a Fresh set of Plugs and new set of C.O P.'s ( Coil Over Plug ). Thanks Inmar

@@ricky-sanchez he literally gave him a huge compliment by saying no one without training could figure this out, yet Inmar did. Saying he sounds like Fez is not racist. If I say a person with a strong New York accent sounds like tony soprano is that racist? Great job!

The spark plugs are covered in oil because you need to replace the spark plug tube seals. They are located underneath the valve covers. Might as well replace them on both sides, and do the valve cover gaskets as well.

If you drive a 98 you need the 2 pin ignition coils. 99 to 03 needs the 4 pin ignition coils. Yall prolly know that but just in case anybody else out here doing research

A dirty throttle body can have some performance issues-just sayin', it can also cause your car to stop or barely start....just curious, how long did your throttle body go without cleaning? I like your air intake box design - so much easier to remove the top half compared to the 2005 VDP we just bought in January this year..first Jag ever. Yourr videos and others here on youtube are very helpful, though I can read a manual and get the job done. Thank YOU! Good luck!

Bro!!!! What radio is that? please respond. Am looking for a radio to fit my jag...same model
@imondragon6096 Жыл бұрын
The radio was the Pioneer Avh280bt 6.2 Double DIN. I also purchased a kit called Metra 999501G Single or Double DIN Installation Dash Kit for 20022007 Jaguar XType or 20032006 Jaguar SType Gray. The installation was a bit of a process since you have to remove the stick shift cover and wooden panel that goes in ( you have to put the car in Neutral - I think ) because then you might break the panel. Also inside the old radio you have to remove/cut some metal brackets to make room for the new radio. In addition you need to have the right color connections from the original wire harnesses to the new one - when I installed it drained my battery since the radio was always on. I can try to find the info for the cables.. let me know

Just an FYI man. Spark plugs don’t come “pre-gapped” for your vehicle. This type of jag should be .030-.035 on the gapping. You always have to check the gaps. They tell you they come “pre-gapped”, but that’s BS lol.
@mossfoster53175 ай бұрын
I know this was 3 years ago but for anyone else who wants to know he fitted iridium plugs, those must Not be gapped, you'll damage the fragile anode by trying. If you were fitting standard plugs then yes gapping is worth while.

you should never push the throttle butterfly by hand it upsets the readings from the throttle
