2003 MINI R53 Alignment Fail.

I take one of our MINI's to the dealership for a 5-wheel alignment. (the STEERING WHEEL) is the 5th wheel. I know, a dad joke. I found out one of the Tie Rods was jammed and unable to be adjusted. Just something else to add to my future project list.

That new Countryman is MASSIVE! How can that be called a MINI? I’m the original owner of a ‘02 Cooper S (it just turned 22 years old this month) and I hate how the MINI has grown bigger and bigger with each new model. You’ve got a great channel, and you’ve helped me with working on my car. And I appreciate your love for these cars. Thanks!

Thank you for those kind words. I do like the first gen MINI's. These new ones are huge, but I guess it gets small families into the MINI brand. I'll try to keep my older ones as long as I can. Thanks for watching.

Thank you for your video. About to pass 300,000 miles on my '05 R53. I've gone through 13 sets of tires with a dozen alignments. Shopping for my 14th set now. That's my main complaint about my MINI . That's been a really expensive issue (along with premium fuel prices in Virginia 😡). Cheap tires vs expensive - doesn't make a difference.

I'm here in Virginia too. I don't use run flats, I have General G-Max on all four of our MINI's. I get them from Tire Rack (owned by Discount Tire). I still sometimes drive cross country without a spare, but I do have a few I can put in the back if i'm pressed for time. Otherwise, I will handle a flat if/when it happens. Thanks for watching.

@@Mini-Driver I did have a couple sets of G-Max, too. No problems with them. Gonna order the Vredestein Quatracs from Tire Rack later this month. Good price and reviews. Hopefully will get at least 25k miles from them. 🤞 I dumped the runflats with the very first new set of tires. Didn't like the noisy ride. I carry a compact spare going cross-country just in case. Lucky so far!
