Although i have always been a die-hard Lakers fan, i will have to say that the Spurs were THE sentimental favorites to win the 2003 NBA Finals for three reasons - (1) Tim Duncan - NBA MVP of the year; (2) Greg Popovich - NBA coach of the year; and (3) the 'swan song' of David 'The Admiral' Robinson.
@kunzersteven9 жыл бұрын
The great achievement that year was getting past LA. Once that happened I knew they had it. That is still my favorite NBA memory. If you can beat Shaq and Kobe you are a big deal.

it pissed me off that ESPN kept cutting to commercials and not showing the spurs celebrating with each other in during the 2014 championship. heck they practically showed lebron walking to the locker room more than anyone else. my favorite part is watching the players hug and interact with each other after winning, and they deprived us of that.

Same here even though I'm a Piston fan, even though we came up a hair short from beatin the Spurs in 2005, but that was an outstanding defensive series. Both defenses were neck and neck and we haven't had a defensive NBA Finals since then. I did expected to go 7 games, but if Robert Horry wouldn't bailed the Spurs out and the Pistons would've beaten them in 6 game, but the Spurs luck was just a little better than ours and nothin but mad respect to Spurs and especially coach Pop. I miss those days when teams were playin defense, but they changed a lot of rules over the years and ain't nobody is playin no defense today.

A "ranDu"m thawt🤔...this was cool to revisit Bcuz I was enjoying watching this live as a longtime Spurs fan, way b4 these moments when they used to get bounced in the playoffs. The thing I trip off remembering, is a clip where Timmy said he wasn't really a fan of MJ. He didn't hate on MJ's game, tenacity, mindset & competitive nature, he didn't fear him & brought his own adjectives to the game and dominated against the odds he faced (Shaq). A modern day comparison of Russell/Chamberlain battle days in the past...🤨opinions?

Let’s be honest, Tim Duncan’s stats for this game are wrong, he had those 2 blocks, but they weren’t counted as blocks for him. So he didn’t have a triple double in this game, he had a QUADRUPLE DOUBLE in this game!! Not even a spurs fan at all, but I’m just saying.
