Scott Meckley I guess kawhi getting 37 points dropped on his head is good defense. Game 7 of the 2013 nba finals was the biggest game of his career and also the biggest of lebrons at that point in his career. Kawhi didn’t show up in the clutch when his “lockdown defender” status should matter the most. He was playing defense like a scared man, sagging off the screens when lebron was already feeling it from the outside. The next finals he was carried by a spurs team and faced an injured Miami heat team. Just because he stole the ball from someone like Ben mcclemore twice, doesn’t mean he can guard the x-factor when it matters the most.

I agree those numbers LeBron shown was some top player stats, however if you start to break it down, you will realize he put up 1.1pts/min only after the Spurs had a lead of 15 and more but 0.65pts/min when it is a close game during Game 3 and 4. He had more than 50% of the possession when the lead is more than 15, however him alone can't stop the bleeding. If Lebron was more consistent and scored 1.1 pts/min for the whole game, it will be a close game. I am disappointed in Wade and Bosh.

It's great coaching that's a big difference here, too. Poppovich>Spolestra. By a wide margin, folks. Coach Pop is respected, feared and also loved by his players. That's never been the case in Miami. Lebron=most under-coached star player in NBA History. A great coach early on in his career would have pushed him to another level.
