My 06 Murano when you start it ,it takes a little bit for it to start? You crank it like you did on here and then it starts. Is this what I need to replace? Some one told me battery I replaced and fuel pump I replaced it. Some told me spark plugs. I haven't replaced yet, cause I'm just sticking money in and not fixing the problem.

Lisa Strange well I will run a diagnostic on crankshaft position sensor with a special tool If you want to guess on it This engines has the crank sensor and the camshaft sensors (2) they have to be in harmony to be able to start easily

I have the same problem with my 2006.. i don't drive it very often but I'm trying to fix it so I can sell it. It runs great but you have to really crank on it it start up. I guess I will have it plugged into a diagnostic to see what it says.

Hola. , yo tengo una murano del 2006 y no quiere prender asta después de unos 5 intentos. Enciende sin problemas , pero en los primeros dos no hace ningún tipo de ruido y todas las luces funcionan normal que podría ser , espero me pueda ayudar gracias

Alo Mejor no llega la senal bien al motor de arranque,si ala primera ves no gira el motor el problema es eso,pero Si gira y no arranca puede Ser la llave mandame un video de lo que hace pero mirando el tablero

Si es necesario extraer codigos con un code reader asi tendras la direccion de donde el problema viene y el sistema que esta fallando

My friend had the same problem with her 2004 Murano except her service engine light did come on. I read the codes and it said it was a camshaft position sensor. Since her engine had 167,000 miles on it and this is a notorious problem with Murano, I decided to change the two camshaft sensors and also the one crankshaft sensor. Now when my friend allows her Murano’s oil level to get too low, the car still has hesitation-especially when accelerating . That is because the camshaft sensors are affected when the oil level is low. Not enough oil is getting to the camshaft. So, when my friend adds enough oil the hesitation disappears. The dipstick on the Murano is really difficult to read correctly unless you have allowed the car to sit about 30 min with the engine off before reading. If you try to read the oil level too soon after turning off the engine, the oil seems to splash up the dipstick and give you a false higher reading when actually your oil level is low. By waiting 30 min you allow the oil to drain down the dipstick tube. I found the same difficulty reading the dipstick on an 2007 Sentra.
