@@InsaneOil My finance called last night cause her 03 Toyota died. Got it towed to the house. She got rear ended last week and it pushed the fuel float UP so she thought she had gas. I took the fuel pump out and the tank was empty, that's when I saw the float was stuck UP. Fixed the car in an hour thanks to you. Awesome video

Best video I have seen on KZbin. Very through job. Wish I had found this about two hours ago. I think I may need to go back and redo my clip. Nice job I had an issue with my 2002 Camry that was reading the wrong fuel level. The fuel gauge would not go higher than 3/4 full. Wound up just replacing the fuel sensor and that took care of the issue. Excellent Job. Thank You.

So far I’m not seeing any issues but my acceleration is weak. I have a 2002 Camry with 2.4L with 206K miles. Should I change it?

weak acceleration could be a number of things. The vehicle in the video had sluggish acceleration in the morning when it was cold outside and I ended up replacing the throttle body kzbin.info/www/bejne/l5vOdpSnZtmfZ7c . A failing fuel pump could cause intermitted acceleration issues or no start situations where you have to cycle the ignition several times to get it started..

I got no crank in my car but that's bc I ran low on oil. It had a crank, I changed one piece and then has no crank. I hope she tunes back on soon.

@@iceman3713 That sucks about needing a new engine. The engine in these vehicles have problems with oil consumption. I have to add oil every month to my vehicle.

Replaced pump, filters and pressure regulator. Fuel pressure drops, which makes the first start after parking difficult. After reassembly (without replacing anything), the problem goes away for about a year, then returns again (twice already). I can't figure out where the leak might be occurring.

I ordered this exact pump assembly from Amazon and it said it was for 2002-2006 years but it turns out on my 2006 Camry, when I went to do this job following your steps here one by one, I had a different set up and fuel pump assembly down there and that part was not going to fit. Did a little research and found the SP9160M was the one I needed instead and that I’m pretty sure now is what will fit my car instead of the SP9158M in this video. So, I’ll try this again here in a couple days when it arrives but I was wondering if this one will also include the fuel filter inside it and if it will be very similar installing it to this one as it was. They don’t look very similar, just this in my car has three ports instead of just two in this video’s.

So I know Camrys are finicky on it the parts for them are for American made or Japanese made camrys. Mine is American made do i have to find a fuel pump specific for that or does it not matter?

My car runs great but only when I start it for the first time each day it stutters a little to start aka takes a couple seconds of cranking, I can't hear a fuel pump priming, is this just the fuel pump on its way out? 06 Camry 102k miles

Could be a number of things. From my experience, if the issue occurs sporadically, it could be the pump going out. If it happens consistently each time it could indicate a partially clogged fuel injector, spark plug nearing end of life, exhaust system related issue. Do you get any check engine lights?

I kept the existing relay. When you crank your car in the mornings...explain "struggling to start"
