crazy that the Jamaicans were even in contention in this relay before foster got hurt... the team was 2 hurdlers, a long jumper, and one 200m runner.

+G C Thanks for that info, it is my belief that if she had the same druggist as you know who, Christine "the Rocket" Arron who ran 10.73s to claim the European in 1998 (# 1401) which still stands to this date 18 Apr 2016, 18 yrs later; we may have seen 10.41s. "The Rocket" was fast. Ever seen a rocket taking off, slow at first, but then watch out for the top end speed hence the nickname coined by me "The Rocket". By the way she was born in the Caribbean Guadeloupe; she is an Antilles woman as the French say about 450km (270 miles) from Trinidad my homeland hence my bias. LOL.

The sad thing here is that have people from different countries pulling down each other. These countries all have black sprinters. The product of the Atlantic Slave Trade. But the facts are the facts. Genetically, I have read this some where that 2/3 of Jamaicans have the gene for fast twitch muscles. This type of genetic distribution is evident in many of the African diaspora populations. In fact the diseases of the diaspora are not generally found in the West African population eg. Serious high blood pressure problems. We are products of a time when we breed like horses. So we run faster than others. Look at the 2012 female 100m. The 1st 6 of 8 were diaspora runners. 2 were from West Africa. Our genes come from W/Africa in the majority. But these genes may tend to be more randomly distributed in W/A. I celebrated that two diaspora teams came 1-2. I wished it was 1-2-3. The concept is Pan African. I hear the message of Peter Tosh. "Don't mind where you come from if you are a black man you are an African." My realty is that I am outwardly from the diaspora. My skin is black. But I know that am also part Scottish. When I was racially insulted in England over 50 yrs ago, hit with a paper bullet from a rubber band and told WOG go home. Do you think that I could have told them I was part Scottish. Look at the treatment of some of the Windrush gereration. Look at what happened in Little Africa Oklahoma. Btw Kelly White who was caught on the clear is half Jamaican. Her mother is Debbie Byfield who ran for Jamaica in the 1972 Olympics her father is an African American sprinter. Such is life. I am from Trinidad and Tobago Ato Boldon country, he too is half Trini and half Jamaican. Such is life. Smh. These are some of the facts; so sad. As someone has said the only difference between us is where the boat dropped us off.

Fatdaddylongsaks, I know your response was a year ago, but I just saw it today. The Americans posing and playing it up for the cameras doesn't take away or diminish the obvious work and time they've put into becoming amazing athletes. We're focusing on their post race shenanigans. But look at them pre race and they are all beacons of focus and intensity. Yeah France wooped that ass, here. But it's an anomaly. Doesn't happen much to even be considered a threat.

@kimbaptise listen buddy , u have u'r own notion of the planet.... u can think the only diffrence between people is the color of the skin. actually , i know that is the point of view of many afro american (i guess u r) maybe i can't judge that because we don't have the same history and past etc... but they're r other notions that exist like the principe of nation , lot's of people care about that , and lot of french "sistas" do , whatever u may think. Anyway , take care (from tiny place lol)
