Women's 100m - Paris World Championships 2003

Kelli White won the women's 100m ahead of Torri Edwards and Zhanna Block. However, both White and Block were disqualified after admitting to taking banned drugs, leaving Torri Edwards with the gold medal. Edwards was also later banned for doping in 2004 but her result in this race still stands.

The description is incorrect. Torri Edwards and Zhanna Block were also caught for doping and suspended. Torri Edwards was later suspended for doping in 2004 for 2years then reduced to 15months. Zhanna Block was caught in the Balco scandal and all her results from 2002 (including this race) were DQ'd. Zhanna's body in this race also looks 'blocky' like a man's.

This gold medal belonged to Bahamian Chandra Stirrup, she was robbed of her glory. Pauline Davis Thompson was also robbed in 2000, in the 200m. Chandra Stirrup ran at the 2009 wc as a 37 yo, and made the final.She was back at the 2012 Olympics, but this time as a part of the 4 by 1, she was 40 yo, so she had longevity like Ottey.

Ummm, Edwards is the real winner here! You do realize Marion wasn’t doping early on; the coach set her up with drugs AND he’s the one who gave them up when he didn’t get his way, like the bitter ahole he was! He was doping his athletes with other stuff the entire time, so careful there.
