Kostner at the sixth place is ridiculous. Clean program with 3+3 combo, with flowing across the ice, highest quality choreography with no empty spaces.

I miss the days of bad laybacks and spirals... sigh. Thanks for uploading this!

Hughes and Cohen had bad laybacks and spirals? Really?

Thank you for posting these videos with no commercials! It is great to see these competitions with MK, SC and SH. Those days when skating was just about artistry and technical as well.

Kostner's layback really improved. Now it's perfection.

I love Sarah’s SP despite the under rotated landings. So different from all of her previous soft and gentle SPs.

Interesting to hear Peggy use the word “terrible” several times in describing the skating! She was usually the voice of positivity while Dick was the critic.

Wow cool to see a 1998 olympic medalist compete against a 2014 olympic medalist - didn't realize about this overlap period!

When I first read your comment I thought you were crazy? But for real Michelle and Carolina were skating against each other!

Michelle Kwan is our most decorated skater and a magnificent champion. But it seems like her programs all look the same ? Am I wrong on this ?

▪︎Michelle kwan is an great artist on ice, she skated so many different styles . ▪︎Tara Lipinski had the only one kid's style in her career, her LP and SP had no different . ▪︎Sasha Cohen had the only one style and never changed , her performance was beautiful but always show herself.

I think that started when sh moved on from her long time coaching team and started making all the decisions herself. I actually think she lost tbe olympics because of that. She had a recuring flaw on her 3 flip that wasn’t looked at because well, she had no coach to do it. She fell on it on the long program but managed to save it on tbe short. Still, a wonderful athlete a skater. A true icon.

@@viniants Actually, Michelle's 2003 LP and 2004 LP were great programs, and her 2005 SP was amazing......which totally different. Michelle created so many different styles on ice.

@@viniants And for sure, Michelle shouldn't be alone without Frank Carroll to join the 2002 Olympics. She challenged herself more than challenged the Olympics, she beat herself. However, when Michelle came back to win the 2003 World championship again, Peggy Fleming said that Michelle wrote herself in the book.

Sarah Hughes was cute, but she was a lucky Olympics Cinderella. After the 2002 Olympics, Sarah placed 6th at the 2003 World championship. Sarah never won any World champion or the National titles.

This sound quality is horrendous !

So you should be thankful I uploaded it in 2014 and not 2021, when the tape degradation and sound quality would've been worse. If you can find a better quality somewhere on the internet then view it there.
