Also noticed, the extremely short trains. In the U.S.A. we trains sometimes as long as 2 miles.

This is narrow gauge, in a very mountain rich area with very tight turn's. 14 passenger coaches is the max (I think). Standard gauge can be 750 meter's long. The travelling distances are a lot shorter in Europe. Best regards, Remco REOS

Also the trains in USA are far, far slower.

Have you any footage of the loading and attaching/detaching the car ferry wagons at either end of the 'pass'?

From which railyard are the COOP reefers tasn-shipped from the SBB main line to the RhB?
@REOSRailway6 жыл бұрын
I think at Landquart, but I also saw COOP being shunted on the South-West side of Chur. In January I wil make a new film in Landquart. Regards, Remco

There are two sizes of Coop container, the small reefer(with fruit and veg pictures) which sits on a 4 wheel wagon and standard Iso 20ft container which sits on 4 axle well wagons. I tried to find a Google view of the sidings where a crane may be located to ship from standard to meter gauge without success. The only facility I have seen for loading/unloading containers is at Scuol on a siding, a small crane over the siding and over the area at the side of the siding. And at Untervaz where there is a large straddle crane.
