This Park Avenues are amazing cars. I'm a huge Buick Fan as I have a super rare Buick Regal Gran Sport Sedan in Black over Grey. These cars with the last generation 3800 V6's easily got 30 mpg +. Best motor GM ever produced. Plenty of power, great fuel mileage and completely bullet proof. Thank you Anthony for previewing this car. Huge fan.
@chrishuber89305 жыл бұрын
It's a good motor but far from the best. I'd say the 3.6 DI VVT is the best engine GM has ever built in terms of V6 engines. 335 HP 290 ft lbs naturally aspirated and 35 mpg highway.
@klwthe3rd5 жыл бұрын
@@chrishuber8930 Are you kidding me? You must NOT know anything about that 3.6 liter V6. The 3.6 engine is notorious for timing chain issues. That gets expensive real fast and completely uncalled for in a modern engine. GM even offered a recall against that motor because of that problem. It may get great fuel economy but as far as durability it is nothing in comparison to the 3800 motor.
@specialtymotorcars5 жыл бұрын
I would have to agree. Every 3.6 looses the timing chain. Cadillac does a special warranty on them. All of the Traverse and Enclave SUV's Have the same Problem.

It had every option including HUD, 12 disc CD changer, and Concert Sound III that this one doesn't but it wasn't an Ultra. Mine had a grey interior but I would have preferred the Shale that was in this car, looks so nice with the White Diamond! I wish you could still get an interior in that color scheme instead of the dark brown or black they accent everything in today. Heck, I wish you could still buy a traditional big car like this! I loved that car, in fact it was my favorite car! I miss it and wish I had never traded it in.

Very nice! Last of the Mohicans! The 3800 really showed GMs powertrain prowess for 20+ years! And of course the GM G-platform was extremely durable and well built. These cars are known to take severe abuse and not miss a lick, with proper maintenance. Anthony, when GM did the "Series II" Supercharged 3800, they did allow for regular gas, although premium was recommended for top performance. And those car were extremely reliable as well. The '83 Electra is a lovely car, but after being involved in an accident where a minivan smashed into the side of our 2012 Chevy Malibu that saved my family's life, I can say that driving any car without crumble zones and side airbags aka most cars before 1988, is out of the question for me. This Park Avenue gives you that old school car feel with modern conveniences. This '04 boat is much better looking than any the hideous blobs that GM trys to pass off as Buicks running around today.
