You were shifting out of first too early to get a 0-60 time. If didn't want to abuse the car...then trying that should have been off the table. It'll hit redline comfortably. The car is easy to drive. I'm really liked your video! These cars drive great! Other reviewers keep saying it wants to kill you....but after owning one I was playing with it like a miata.

1st gear hits 60mph, don’t shift and you’ll get a better time. You will hit redline though.

The selling price is actually really good. I have a couple 03s and 04s next to me and they want $70k+ for them. And 08s-2010s are $90-120k and gen V (2013-2017) are upwards for $130-350k lol.

While the Viper is one of my favorite cars, I’d have to say the 04-06 Ford GT is probably the best car ever made, in my opinion

Not enough Gen 3 content out there so thanks for posting this. I get you didn’t want to beat on it which makes perfect sense. With more revs from the dig and redlining it, I’d bet you could shave a second off that time to 60. I think the bogging and the shift was killing you more than anything. That and minus a passenger and you’re in the 3s

I drive a 2004 with 24k miles on it. The only way to 'abuse' a Viper is to drive over speed bumps too quickly or enter crappy parking lot entrances incorrectly and scraping the front end or undercarriage. He said, 'abuse' a Viper;) Change fluids, proper maintenance, balanced tires and wheels and a you drive a supercar

​@DMCarReviews bottom left drivers side of the top when down. Push it and boom you can pull the top up. Not picking on you as I have seen several online reviews complaining about the top being complicated. I wondered if possibly reviewers are just repeating something they heard. But, it is the simplest convertible top I've ever owned. Live in San Diego so convertibles are all I own😃

Thank you for the feedback. I think the launch was as good as I could get it. I did have a passenger with me, and it was very warm outside. I am sure I could have done half a second quicker if I revved out 1st gear to redline, but I didn't want to risk damaging the engine. The Tesla Model S Long Range did 0-60 in 3.5s with almost 700hp and instant torque, so I would find it hard to believe this car could do 3.5s.
