I have a 2009 ralliart with the rockford system and it's a pain in the ass to set up. But your video was really useful to find the remote power Amp cable. Good thing 2004 and 2009 they kept same color scheme.

2005 has the exact same issue. I swapped out my stereo header yesterday with a friend and dealt with the same thing. Came out good. The new stereo made me realize that the amp and speakers in the infinity system are pretty good. Never heard them with quality sound going in. I was stuck using a Bluetooth to radio converter.

I just installed an android radio in my 2005 Mitsubishi Endeavor which came with the infinity stereo as well. (2004-2005 Galant and Endeavor are exactly the same if equipped with the infinity system) I was prepared for a sort of difficult install so I already knew I wasn't going to buy a harness kit since I was going to retain the stock amplifier and converted those signal wires to RCA connections. Figuring out which wires were the audio output to amp took some time and even had the polarity reversed at first but later fixed. Steering wheel controls also work just fine without an additional adapter. The circular connection on mine is wired to the rear dvd player which I have yet to splice up and connect to the new radio Great video!

This would have been great 2 years ago....The stock stereo went bad on us so we ended up taking the plug that was in the stereo and soldering the RCA plugs to that. It's not pretty but it worked. I had hopes that you found an actual connector that would have worked better than my solution.

Hey buddy I have an 06 Galant that has been giving me trouble, couldn't find a wiring diagram at the time so I spliced in my own speaker wires and went through and found the power wires. Ever since the install I've been having issues with my alarm going off constantly, any idea on how to troubleshoot it? I have spare wires and I don't have the original harnesses anymore unfortunately.

Unfortunately I am not sure would would cause an issue with the wiring that would make the alarm go off. Maybe the amp/remote amp is keeping the stereo amp on all the time? I know some alarms will throw a fit if the detect power being drawn for a long period of time.

Sounds possible. Might go through and just remove the amp. Thanks though, it's a start. Earned a sub since you're the first to explain how much a pain these galants are.

I can try to guide you, but its been awhile. The power or the remote? What specifically is the issue?

nice job on figuring out the wiring! I bet you wish you had this at the time you did the install. This is a link to the exact original head unit that came in the 2004 mitsubishi galant with the infinity stereo system. servlib.com/panasonic/car-audio/cq-eb0360l.html its an infinity system but the head unit is made by Panasonic. I searched for ever on the numbers on top of head unit. I should have just trusted your wiring on your video but I had to waste a few hours verifying. The amp however is an infinity.

I tried this with my 04 and it still isnt producing sound. I don't know what is wrong ive tripled checked everything and know for a fact i have it hooked up correctly
@UtahSleeper3 жыл бұрын
If you are getting no sound you may want to verify the amp is being turned on. Weird to get nothing.

@@isaibarraza137 Is this a normal speaker wire, or do you have RCA cable you are trying to connect? This normally can be answered with if your car has an amp from the factory(Infinity)?

@@isaibarraza137 If I am reading it correctly, you are trying to turn 2 wires from the amp into an RCA cable that most stereo's use. Some of this is coming back to me now. Here is 1 video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rHqzh3ysrpmWobc
