2004 Honda Accord 3.0L AMSOIL Engine Flush Oil Change

The 2004 Honda Accord V6 3.0L is very easy to do a AMSOIL engine flush and oil change on because of the oil filter location.

At one time I used K&N filters, but now they quit wrapping them in plastic and they lessened the hole count. Thankfully Amsoil wraps there's in plastic and is very much more superior.

It would be a good idea to flush the engine with an economy oil after running the engine with the 'engine flush' fluid.

All you do with the engine flush is put it into the existing motor oil and idle it for 15 minutes all the buildup ends up in the oil filter and then when you change the oil all of it comes out put the fresh oil in and then the fresh filter and you're good to go👍

@@Syntheticoilprotection There is residual of the 'engine flush' fluid in the engine along with its cleansing agents. This would actually thin out the new oil. I would use an economy oil/filter to flush it then put in the AMS Oil/filter.

The residual engine flush is insignificant if you would think of a 16 oz bottle of engine flush being mixed into a 10 quart system like a Porsche with a oil cooler even if the oil cooler holds one quart of oil that doesn't come out that's like mixing 1.6 oz of engine flush into the new 10 quarts it is insignificant

Weird she mentioned how its shifting better, yet you didnt do anything to the transmission. Either way, i've watched a lot of these flush videos and i'm going to try flushing my '09 Camry with the 3.5 V6. Daily driven with at least 360 miles a week.

OK I’m completely confused because I’ve search all online and they said you don’t necessarily need an engine flush because you can throw a while for a lot of stuff where the oil needs to pass through and if that is messed with or anything happens that can give a lot of problems down the road so if my car has may be 76 77,000 miles I don’t need a flush right as long as I do a regular oil change I should be good because I do my oil changes at 30%

Great question Emmanuel, The benefit of the engine flush is getting the carbon deposits around the timing chain and around the rings. See when you run a full synthetic it's not 100% synthetic like AMS oil It's actually a synthetic blend and half of it is mineral oil and the other half is synthetic. The mineral oil part burns thickens and turns into small sludge. Every time you change your oil you are leaving a little bit of sludge behind in that eventually builds up around the timing chain sprocket also around the rings and around certain other low flow areas that don't have a lot of oil running around it. Over the years even a low mileage car with under 50,000 miles will still have build up. When you run amsoil signature series the detergents will eventually start to melt that old sludge down however if you do an engine flush before you change the oil it will get the majority of it out however some of it still will not come out and it takes time for it to slowly be melted down by the detergents in the 100% synthetic amsoil and that will end up ending in your oil filter because it will be kept in suspension until the filter catches it. You'll see I do a lot of oil filter changes early that way your filter is clean and flows faster for better cold flow protection. In this video I changed the filter after 10,000 mi because I wanted to make sure a lot of that carbon is out of the system and that way the filter will run clean with a new filter because it caught all the old build-up kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6i8ootoh9l9obs

Sad fact: Honda OE Filters are made by FRAM. Oil Filter cut outs revealed Honda OE Filters are identical to FRAM Extra/Tough Guard. As a proud Honda owner, this makes me sad. Always use Mobil 1 20K Oil Filters and Amsoil Oil Filters or WIX XP.

I watch your vids every so often, but this one made a day for me as I saw in the background that the trucks she passed by on the test drive I saw the company I used to work for so I had to rewind back to see what I saw. it was a TruBlu trailer and then a TruBlu Straight truck.
