I could not reach the driver's side screw on the condenser very well from top or bottom with the tools I had. I thought about it a while, then said to myself, "The condenser is bolted to the radiator. That's the way it and the dryer accumulator have to go back. Why not just bite the bullet and pull the entire radiator?" That turned out to be the best decision of the whole project. Once I did that, three things were made dirt simple. 1) Disassembly of the condenser from the radiator was a bench job, as was taking off the dryer accumulator. 2) Access to the compressor was totally easy, all right there in total view and easy reach, and absolutely nothing blocked its path out or in. 3) Reassembly of the dryer accumulator to the condenser and the condenser to the radiator was again a bench job. The only thing that would not slide back in easily was the driver side air dam, which was easy to get back on once the radiator was slipped back into place.

Video helped me with same job on my 02 Sonata. Another way to reach the driver side condenser bolt would be to remove battery, battery plate and recovery tank. Bolt is right there, no need to get under the car.

You can remove the ac compressor by removing the cooling fans , and the compressor will come out from the top after removing the 4 bolts. It a easier route than going under the car.

Can you please do a video on exactly where the low pressure switch is located on the 2004 Hyundai Sonata 2.7 and also where Bank 2 Sensor 1 is located. There are no real videos for a 2004 hyundai sonata

Great Video. I am doing my compressor now. The comment on the oil threw me a little. The note said that there was 7 oz of oil in compressor, but the system takes 170 - 190 cc which is 5.75 oz to 6.5 oz. I assume the extra 1/2 oz will not be an issue for you, but mine came with a sticker that said compressor may not have enough oil (without saying how much was in there). I ended up draining it out and putting in approximately 6 oz ( I assume there is probably 0.5 - 1.0 oz still in there because you cannot get it all out). Any idea how to test and make sure you have the correct amount of oil?

Where did you order that pigtail connection what is it called? Where can I find that exact peice

Search on amazon for: Universal Wire Pigtail 112825. I got it from them and it was a perfect fit for the original compressor on my Hyundai Sonata 2003. It includes the male (wire harness side) and female (compressor side) connectors.

could you please tell me if there is a way to test if a Input/output sensor (on a Sonata 07) can be tested to see if it is not defected. For example: on Clothes dryer one can test the parts with a Voltmeter by using the R mode. If there's a certain reading on the resistance, the parts is bad. I would appreciate your help. The thing is that I have already purchased both sensors and the car still reading {once a diagnostic computer is placed} that is not getting signal from the sensors.

Unless you did it off video did not see you after all that work that you flushed out the Evap core expressly after a compressor failure also never charge by pressures always the proper weight as listed otherwise great video.
