How to fix vacuum on a navigator

Sir, you just saved me so much heart ache....it was driving me crazy! The mechanics couldn't even figure it out. It was the little hose behind the black box, just like you said, DISCONNECTED. I popped it back in (though it is a little bit of a pain) and WHAM working vents. THANK YOU, thank you, thank you!!!!

I have the same issue. The "service" we have locally said they have to remove the dash and the cost started to add up and no guarantee the dash wouldn't fall apart, wouldn't take responsibility. So I declined. Now that I saw your vide on the same issue, I am getting my Navigator back and going to go over the vacuum lines and the actuator itself to see if it moves. What is that box next to the battery? Is that the actuator motor itself? If there is no vacuum when I test the line on the actuator, I will get to that part where the lines go into that black box and check it out. So helpful, subscribed. Addendum: Broguth her home, I found the actuator hose was disintegrated, I heard a hiss when I started to lift the hose behind the battery. I saved probably a thousand dollars from the "car repair shop" I can't thank you enough.

Been dealing with this for weeks....the connector was dried out and not attached just fixed it for 3.99 youre the effin man ! Thankyou!

I owe you big time. I was about to take it to an auto electric shop. Fixing a couple of those hoses fixed it

I had to do same thing I replace some hoses but I still don't have a suckshion to that part.i need a diagram for the lines and check valve locations.

Where does the line run to from that thing that gets pulled in

So this would a be something to check before going into a "blend door actuator".

Blows cold through defroster and floor but nothing through the front panel

That's the heater bypass valve hot /cold has nothing to do with the directional blend doors unless there's a vacuum leak

It worked for ME. It fixed the vents...air coming out from vents now! Stuck in defrost vents before.

Im not a mechanic by no means, im a common sense type of guy for entertainment purpose only 07 navigator here, pulled the cover under the glove compartment cause i heard it not wanting to swap over, gave the round thing a few taps and boom.... a.c blowing out the vents.

Kevin Harris thanks Kevin, in what area? I can’t seem to find it anywhere all I have is the grey wire connected to the circle hot water valve but can’t seem to find any other vacuum part. I would PayPal you $20 if you can take a picture of where your goes into.

Will it only blow hot air when it is stuck in defrost?

No. If it does, then you have another problem as well

@@1krharris1 i really dont know what to listen for. The only sound i hear is a loud whistling noise when I turn the AC on
