How do you align the shift shaft so it will sit all the way down? Same issue as other comment.

The water leaking at shift shafts Is that normally??

No but depends on the age of your outboard motor, it’s one of the location where water can get into the lower unit.

If you have water in the lower unit, this is a good spot to check first since it is the cheaper fix option.

Well, if the leak isn’t too bad, you could just replace the gear oil and see how it goes. But eventually it will have to be replaced.

@@2fishyoutdoors Apparently I took out and did not turn on the neutral how to fix it - I return it does not switch and turn freely
