The 2004 ALCS was the first time I was invested myself in watching baseball in over a decade. I still don't know why but for some reason, I started watching game 4 in the 8th inning. I watched the rest of the Red Sox run. My grandma was 93 years old, from Middleboro, Massachusetts. She was 7 when the Red Sox last won the World series. She passed away 2 months later, I'm positive she waited for those boys to win the series before she crossed the rainbow bridge.

My grandfather had a similar fate. Born in 1920 and never saw the Sox win. We watched the games together, and I never saw a bigger smile on him than when they won. He died November 2004. I've always said he was waiting for them to win it. RIP

The Greatest Red Sox Team !!! I still remember my dear friend calling me after the win, he said " ... well what do we have to live for now?" Amazing, my mom born in 1918, and the biggest Sox fan of all never missed a game saw it as well as one more in 2007, that team was especially made for fans like her.

Nor Bellhorn's home run off the stomach of a fan that was initially ruled to be still in play. Whoever put this video together wanted no credit of any kind to be given to Terry Francona for his contributions. Only Kevin Millar and Dave Roberts even mentioned his name.

I like to think The Curse broke on the Midnight stroke just before The Steal, and from that point on there was nothing holding them back anymore, allowing the 8 straight wins, as if this was what they were capable of without Ruth standing on their throats. It's too Goddamned perfect of a story.

There's a song on utube called midnight and the Stars and you.used in the movie the shining with jack Nicholson in 1980.go to Mr sandman's version here on utube it's the best sounding version I think. And start out in 1917 with flim of the babe and think how much the song blends in with the curse of the babe. the song just goes with it. From 1917 till 2004. With the Sox running out of the dugout and the bullpen.hope you folks think so. In fact in the 1997 Titanic movie I can see the first class passengers dancing to it.

This was the Falcon Effect BEFORE the Falcon Effect. Blowing a 28-3 lead in Super Bowl was terrible, but nothing like having a 3-0 lead. You have to survive four days in a row to remain alive & go to the World Serie. 2 days later, you have to win 4 games all over again & this time with a team you don't face very often if not ever in the season & even they had their own rise as well. Sorry Patriots fans, but the Red Sox wins this battle...barely.

Coming from the team that also waited a long time for a WS Ring 💍 & won that same year in 2021. I would be glad to say this to you Red Sox fans. Firrst & Foremost Chop Chop! 2021 World Series Champions/America's Team/Atlanta Braves. Second: 2004 was 4 Days In October (ALCS). 2018 was 4 Games In October (ALDS). 2021 was 1 Day in October. Thank you Red Sox for each one & literally making the Yankees your daddy know. WHO'S YO DADDY 😅😅😅😅😅 Third: Aside from getting my wish as an adult at long last, I wanted to face you instead of Bellichick's Side Team (ASStros). The reason wasn't only because of the cheating scandal, it was because one of my besties is actually a Red Sox fan & so we could either troll each other whoever wins or loses.
