Fastest way to get this done without cutting the vent with a saws-all is to go ahead and remove the dash, and then loosen the bolts holding the air vent in place. Take a long pry bar through the air bag hole and use the metal bracket for leverage to lift up the vent and you'll have plenty of clearance to do the work.

I want to thank you for the video, I did it, the time consuming part was cutting the tube after that it was a piece of cake, also replaced the heater door actuator which is above the fan motor, since I was there and everything was out of the way. There was no way I could of had a shop door it google it and an estimate was between 975 and 1375, my cost was 130 and the time. Thanks again Nm

Was there a moaning kinda noise going on in the dash? My 2003 Silverado everything works fine but when it's running heat or AC there's a moaning kinda noise coming from the dash.

What if you have to replace the blend door itself.? What's involved.
